"I'm glad that Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year." ~ Anton Szandor LaVey
It doesn’t matter if superstition carries a cross, a 6-pointed star, a doll or colorful necklaces, all irrational dogma must be eradicated, there is no evidence of the supernatural and although there are unexplained phenomena that does not mean that we should give it a Divine reason or paranormal to what we have yet to explain. Summed Adversary Marco Antonio Muñoz
Satanism starts with atheism. We start with the universe and say, "It doesn't matter. There is no God, there is no Devil. Nobody cares!" So you have to make a decision that places you at the center of your own subjective universe, because of course we cannot have any kind of objective contact with everything that exists. This is very arrogant and delusional, people who try to put it that way. So, by making the primary value in your life, you are your own God. As your own God, you feel comfortable making your own decisions about what you should value. What's positive for you is good. What hurts you is evil. You extend it to the things you appreciate and the people you appreciate. So it's very easy to see that it's a self-centered philosophy.
But it also requires responsibility, as you are taking complete responsibility for your personal success or failure yourself. You can't be praying to a God or blaming a devil, or anyone else, for that matter, for what happens to you. It's in your own head. That's a challenge for most people. Most people tend to really feel that they want some kind of outside support, that they are looking outside and that they might want some kind of supernatural father figure, or even some kind of existing governmental authority, to exist in their lives.
Peter Gilmore.
Love is one of man's most intense feelings; another is hate. Forcing yourself to feel indiscriminate love is unnatural. If you try to love everyone, you will only diminish your feelings for those who deserve your love. Repressed hatred can lead to many physical and emotional disturbances. By learning to release your hatred against those who deserve it, you cleanse yourself of these evil emotions and you don't need to unload your pent-up hatred on your loved ones.
Anton LaVey
