The Rumors & Leaks Of Samsung Galaxy Note 4: So Far So Good
Samsung is doubtlessly the steer for technology. For that reason, it’s natural for anyone following such a leading brand to be eager to learn ‘what’s next after this release by Samsung’. In fact most are the people who want to be ahead with this kind of knowledge. But for Samsung products, well, this has always been taken a bit more seriously. Without even first mentioning about Galaxy Note 4 lurking in the horizon now, just above the dust of the just released Note 3, at least for the last few decades, not even grannies that are not interested in news about a debuting Samsung gadget.
Going back a bit, there are people who are yet to understand the fuss going on now about Samsung. Hear it straight and clear now; Samsung shops are beaming with the just released Galaxy Note 3. This is the phablet that people have all along been waiting for. Now with barely two months in the market, people are largely appreciating the efforts by Samsung. The Note3 has already sold thousands in just a small market of India, Korea, Europe and the US. The rest of the world is still waiting to receive it. But it’s just a matter of time though.
Nonetheless, the Euphoria is slowly turning to the news and rumors that Samsung is mocking this much celebrated Note 3, with yet another phablet, the note 4 coming soon in 2014. What could Samsung possibly do better than what it’s already done with Note 3? This is the question behind the budding Euphoria about Note 4. There are people who even doubt the news and rumors about Note 4. But the fact is that they will soon drop their doubts. From just news and rumors coming in, even from Samsung own respected executives, there is no doubt that Samsung is working on Note 4 as the next phablet gizmo. It’s only better to believe it and get prepared. In case you are just wishing to be ahead regarding the next Samsung phablet, the Galaxy Note 4, read on!
Firstly, even as the dust of Note 3 is yet to settle, there are a few observations that are being made by tough critics on some misses with Note 3. You see, Samsung is always a mega reference for critics. The battle that is always facing Samsung is fighting and silencing critics by releasing a better version of the just released. Don’t imagine how occupied Samsung engineers are. For this reason, realistic critics find a very challenging and tireless company to always keep on toes. But what will they have to say about Note 4 come 2014?
What can possibly come better than Note 3 with Note 4?
Anyone now wondering whether Samsung actually did as expected with Note 3 is amazed because Note 3 is even better than what was rumored. What with the reduced price? Sample this. Within the first two weeks of Note 3 in the market, Samsung had slashed a whooping RS2000 from its debut price in India. That is not the end; according to Samsung, the price is dropping further soon or later. This is making more people to afford it, unlike what has been the case with the previous orders? But when these very people start hearing news and rumors about yet another better phablet than Note 3, and still imagine that the same price reductions will apply, Samsung can only command more awe and respect.
The first criticism from closed doors critics about Note 3 is the number of pixels with Note 3 camera. Although it has all along been rumored that it will be 13MP, this rumor has come to pass. But critics want to challenge Samsung that 13MP has all along been seen in the previous releases, here to mention note 2, Galaxy S3 and S4 Smartphone. Apart from a few users and critics who want to capture extremely clear images even of objects in darker backgrounds, no ordinary user of these previous gadgets has ever found 13MP limiting. But this did not stop Samsung Engineers from taking the challenge of critics.
What can possibly come better, you ask? According to reports from Samsung’s own analyst meeting held recently, it was reported that the company is working on a whooping 16MP camera for its 2014 releases; galaxy Note 4 and galaxy S5. When you do the math, Galaxy Note 4 is the most likely gizmo to feature the 16MP since it is scheduled for the third quarter of 2014, time enough for 16MP module to be ready for use. S5 is set to be released early 2014. With 16MP for a phablet, nothing else will be there to ask for until later decades. With such a high resolution camera, it will be able to capture very clear images even in poorly lit rooms. After this date, critics must leave the camera alone – for good. They will quickly find something else to challenge Samsung for.
Processing Power and Speed
Although both critics and new users of galaxy Note 3 are all praises about the performance of Note 3, they say it’s excellent, Note 4 will kill it. With a far much better processor, quallcom Snapdragon 800 1.9GHz octa core variant processor, Note 3 has only maintained the trend with Samsung of increasing the processing power and speed bit higher than its predecessors. But although this new improvement with Note 3 has hit the roof, the gadget is superfast; Note 4 is set to introduce another version of everything here.
So far, rumor has it that Samsung is working on a 64bit Exynos processor. This is another breed of processor that will see things change. What is set to change is basically both speed and power. However, this change of the processor has its own separate reasons. According to rumors infiltrating from Samsung factory, the new processor has been inspired by the change in the memory capacity of the Note 4, the multitasking aspect expected and the proposed increase in photography. So that all these capabilities do not crash the gizmo, a complementing power and speed must be inculcated in the equation. But wait; what we have just done here is touch on memory and multitasking. Nothing is clear about them here. Let’s look at them closely and see how they will differ with Note 3’s.
Memory and Storage Capacity
Nearly all other previous Samsung widgets, including Note 3 have never pushed the edge of memory beyond 32GB external and expandable memory combined. Note 3 gave us a 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal memory expandable up to 64GB from external. All news and rumors are pointing to the fact that Note 4 is scheduled to feature 4GB of RAM and storage capacity enough to expand to over 64GB. This will sweep above what is currently the highest, that of Note 3.
But as earlier mentioned in this article, Samsung is doing this to ensure it meets the needs of future Smartphone users. The future calls for more need to multitask, download and upload large volumes, operate many options at a go and store a lot of data including music, videos, study materials and more. The trend of use that smart phones are taking is pointing to the idea that everything will revolve around phone technology. There are several social sites that will need to be active at the same time; users will want to download several apps and so on. For that reason, the Note 4, the gadget of the future, must provide the necessary back up power and capacity.
Another factor Smartphone users consider is the operating system of the phones. Samsung supports android OS in all its smart gadgets. Nonetheless, the point of concern has all along been how effective is the current OS. People have always wondered how a better OS can do even better. Samsung on the other hand has always been responding accordingly, by upgrading its current OS to something better each time.
Note 3 features android 4.3. There has been android 4.1, 4.2 and 4.4; apparently the higher the number; the better the version of android. But highest android4.4, android is normally reserved for ‘other’ gadgets like S4 and S5 smart phones whose users want more android capacity. All factors included, it was agreed that note 3 should feature android 4.3jellybean.
Nonetheless, Galaxy Note 4 has all the reasons to support the highest android OS, the 4.4kit Kat. Considering the need to meet the future requirements and the high expectation for Note 4, android 4.4 will be necessary. This difference will enable its users to afford more android applications and faster downloads.
For the very first, a Smart gadget will charge without connection to power supply. Galaxy Note 3 was at its all time close to this, but it fell off. Note 4 engineers are watching this quality keenly. This is a fact that has attracted all sorts of closed doors meetings to discuss the possibilities of Note 4 featuring it. But success is imminent.
According to Korean publications and some renowned Samsung insiders, there is no doubt that Note 4 will feature remote charging in addition to conventional charging. This technology according to them has been tried in some other gadgets but without much success until they discovered how to affect it with magnetic resonance. This was the point of breakthrough. Note 4 is the only gadget in line to benefit from this because S5 has already got its charging system fitted by now.
What does this mean for the user anyway? No more carrying chargers. No more spending or rather wasting time at a socket keeping watch of your costly gadget to charge. One will only need to activate remote charging on the phone then pass near a live electric socket. Charging will start immediately. The gadget will always stay charged.
The term minor here will largely differ with individuals. According to critics, the following are minor improvements Note 4 will have over Note 3.
Another design dubbed ‘design 3.0’ has been in the discussion forums of Samsung. This design comes with major changes on the phone cover including the cover material. But Note 3 fell short of this alleged improved version and maintained the previous design 2.0 cover design. That leaves it for the next releases; the galaxy S5 and the galaxy Note 4. According to insiders at the company, it is non negotiable that Note 4 must feature this new design. It is also rumored that it will be sport metal chassis for Note 4. This will be a major shift from the traditional plastic covers, with previous gadgets. The design is most suited for phablets another description of (larger-than-Smartphone but smaller-than-tablets) gadgets. Can Note 3 have anything on this?
This is a change than no one can ignore. Samsung Galaxy Note4 is rumored to feature an edge to edge HD screen that will leave no side margin. It will also be larger than note 3 that is currently at 5.7 inches (exactly as rumored here). But this is understandable from the fact that this gadget will support a lot of multitasking. Such will definitely require a bigger screen to display otherwise it would be impractical. Another observation to make is that Samsung could not just increase the entire size of Note 4 to comfortably feature a bigger screen and bigger bumper. With this, it will presumably jump the size threshold of a phablet to become a tablet.
Rumors heralding Note 3 release had it that it will feature a higher battery than Note 2. In fact few were short of the correct answer. The September surprise was 3200mAh. This is quite high but Note 4’s will be higher. Why? Note 4 will need more power its power hungry operations including that 64bit processor and multitasking ability. This quality will be backed up by the wireless remote charging that Note 4 is set to introduce. This is convenient technology at its best. Watch this space for more Samsung Galaxy Note 4 news roundup!
