I am very excited about this trip! It is also right up my alley. I’ve been there before but it was mostly for work things so this makes me very happy. What is one thing you’re looking forward to the most? It all meshes so well and I want to do it all.

That's a plus, getting to see New Orleans without the burden of work! I'm sure you'll get a new appreciation for the city that way. It is quite hard to choose one thing but the haunted pub crawl sounds exciting. I'm not one for frightening things, but I think with the right people, even scary things can be fun. I'll be the one to say this upcoming trip looks incredible! I've never had the honor of going to New Orleans for pleasure before and with everything on the agenda, I have high hopes for the next week. Who wants to be Pride Pals this week? Speaking as a gay man who has spent many a hot and sweaty day at Pride festivals, I would consider something of an expert on the subject. what happened to the art of pick-up lines? are they super out of date and cheesy or would a 'does it hurt when you fell from heaven' work on you? see, i'm on the fence with them. i've yet to hear a really good one. anyway, are you an artist? I don't know, some people find them dreadfully cringy while others find them endearing. I'm on the side of endearing truthfully. I'm not particularly flattered by them but the act of delivering a pick up line takes a lot of courage and, well, that's adorable really. Now that is a solid pick up line. I could use a pick up line wing woman. I'm awful at coming up with them myself. Do you offer pick up line services? I'm willing to pay in good drinks, even better food, and light gossip.

i've just finished my latest read and i'm in that strange little state of euphoria where you have to sit with it for a while before you're ready to move on to something else. i was meant to be making progress on my to-be-read pile, but i've somehow managed to buy seven more books instead, so clearly that's going very well. what are you reading at the moment? or watching, if that's more your thing? i absolutely do not need any more recommendations, obviously my shelves are full and my watchlist is out of control… but i still want them. @goldenerastarters

There is nothing quite like reading some life-changing novel and never wanting that feeling to go away. Can I ask what book it was that you finished? I'm looking for something to pick up myself. Isn't that how it always goes? You've either got stacks and stacks of books at home or on your e-reader of choice and suddenly, the choices are overwhelming. I find myself frequently debating about what world I'd like to get lost in next when it comes to books. I haven't read anything lately, but the one novel that sticks with me in The Comfort Book by Matt Haig. I find myself going back to it whenever I've had a rough go and need something to tie me back down to the present. Not that you need the recommendation but I'll be the devil on your shoulder this once.

I’ve been loving being in London filming with Steve and Martin. I get the best of both worlds being in a beautiful city and doing a show that I love. And to be around Meryl Streep again is like a pinch me moment. Not a bad way to spend my summer if you ask me. What are your plans? Tell me everything. @goldenerastarters

London is a lovely place, though I might be a bit biased in that regard, and the company you keep seems all the better. What sort of things have you been up to since you've been there, aside from filming? There is so much to see in London and sometimes it feels like there isn't enough time to do it all – I'd imagine filming keeps you busy enough. Do let me know if you need any recommendations as well! As for me, I don't have any real plans in place for the summer. Taking some time where I can between work and maybe escaping across the pond back to London when I have the time.
