The thing that really baffles me the most as this goes on and on is if there was a photo of me with a swastika and I honest to god didn’t know and or sincerely felt bad/was a changed person, I would want to make that loud and clear. I would want to in my own words explain what happened and who I am now and make sure everyone knows that. I wouldn’t care what my team advised me to do or be worried about my career. I would want to clear the air and make sure people knew I am not the same stupid teen!

I try to remind myself that the awful people in this fandom are just really loud but overall the minority and that most of us are lovely and sane but it gets harder and harder to believe that everyday

And he didn’t even turn it down. He had a contractual obligation to return to his show. It was a scheduling conflict. He clearly wanted to do the show. So it makes even less sense to harass him

A bit long winded but I think the reason why he is so visible is that no matter if he does something or not people will talk about it for days if not weeks even if he appears as much as the others

He steps out 1 time and it’s the discussion of the week he recommends a book 50 publications write about it he follows someone on social media discourse for the week he doesn’t follow someone back on social media more discourse he cuts his hair discourse he posts a selfie discourse

This is both for fans and haters alike unfortunately he is just one of those celebrities people are drawn to negatively or positively he brings out strong reactions out of people it’s why he seems hyper visible it’s a blessing and a curse but people pay for type of hype like this but it’s very suffocating im glad it isn’t me I don’t think I could handle it mentally

I actually don’t think the public will find a middle ground with him and he therefore needs to create some coping mechanisms or how he present himself in a way that will protect his mental health very few celebs invoke “that” kind of reaction in people and it can really be very destructive if you don’t take care of yourself

And unfortunately I think his whole career will be like that… extreme hate and extreme adoration and for that I think he will have a very long lived career

I heard about the tumblr/pintrest here in tumblr via another blog. Apparently a lot of people have seen both and both are totally what you’d expect from Connor but weird fans are trying to act like he posted weird things or disturbing things. No Connor just is a weirdo art kid (saying that in a positive/nice way)

yeah they both are nothing burgers. I’ve seen them now.
