🔨 Cut open 10, gallon sized plastic jugs thats I’ve been saving & poke holes in bottom
🌱 Purchase seeds & potting soil
🌾 Mix dirt w/ egg shells and fruit scraps & prep recyled jugs to be flower pots
🍯 Buying candles & maybe some flowers for the house
☀ Wake up & open all the curtains to let in the light (weather permitting)
🍋 Taking a citrus bath & drinking lemon water throughout the day
🍊 Things like grapefruit, eggs, seeds, oranges, (almond) milk, potato stew, and lemon bars are on the menu!
✨ Honoring Frejya by leaving out food stations in known stray cat hubs
🍡 Filling empty citris fruits with seeds and leaving for birds & squirrels
🌄 Illuminating the house with candles at night
I’m so ready to signal to spring that its time to come out now. Its been bitterly cold and I look forward to sunny days and flower buds ahead. I know I have a lot planned but if you’re a baby witch, in the broom closet, or just busy- don’t be afraid to celebrate in little ways. I’m fortunate enough to have my own home with someone who is willing to celebrate the holidays with me, and Friday off work to do it.
If you need an idea for practicing in a much smaller way: eat your favorite citrus fruit and then leave bird seed or a candle in the peel. Or just offer the peel up with a vigorous yeeting into nature so spring can find her way to you.
