Day #163/365: This sun-kissed crew is excited to be toes over the edge on a fantastic summer!
Day #162/365: My dear friend Tonya came down with the team from our Traverse City campus. You will not find a kinder, more optimistic person in the world.
Day #161/365: Over an hour into practice and she’s still in it. I’m hoping this girl has found another passion. #SeaholmCheer
Day #160/365: Last day of her fabulous freshman year! #SeaholmMaples
Day #159/365: Early morning shoot with the team that gets up even earlier and makes the City beautiful. #CityPhotographer
Day #158/365: They have known each other since kindergarten. Each family has watched them with wonder and awe as they grow into the women they are becoming. They connect in different ways now; but the friendship is still strong and real. #TheLuckyFew
Day #157/365: City Photosketching #Detroit
Day #156/365: So apparently I am behind the curve on the news about a social media influencer posting what I would characterize as a misinformed decision that makes life for Julia and her friends with DS just that much harder. I finally read the whole post this evening after dinner. I’m gonna sit with it for a while and probably have a little to write about. Meanwhile, here’s a picture of our “genetically glitchy” kid living her very best life.
Day #155/365: I'm over at Celebrate Recovery in Clinton Township tonight and in 21 years of pastoral ministry, I have never seen anything like it.
This, friends, is what 11 years of consistent recovery work looks like.
My friend Tony came in 2015 with an issue in his life. In pursuing his recovery, God revealed something else. He took a blue “new issue” chip and stayed on the adventure, picking up milestone chips along the way.
He’s done that 24 times so far and intends to yield himself to God every day for the rest of his life. Sometimes the spiritual life is just showing the heck up. #CareAtKensington #FreedomIsPossible
Day #154/365: Girls from the local Hebrew school reminded their community what time to light their Shabbat candles… #SpreadTheLight
Day #153/365: Pre-dinner dancing. She’s not outgrown it. #NotABadThing
Day #152/365: Jonathan and the Sunset
Day #151/365: Weddings are a good time to get the sibs together as well!
Day #150/365: Dis is us…
Day #149/365: The little boys I knew nearly 20 years ago are men and we’re sending another on the adventure of marriage! #CongratsEvan
Day #148/365: Just the beginning of a ton of family connection that Julia has been longing for! #UncleJon
Day #147/365: All done learning about Thomas Edison. #GreenfieldVillage
