Why can’t the news show stories like this
I couldnt share....but it brought me to tears
Normally people will send me an email with a good old fashioned clean joke, but not this morning. Read this as you won't regret it.
Two Choices,
What would you do?....you make the choice. Don't look for a punch line, there isn't one. Read it anyway. My question is: Would you have made the same choice?
At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves children with learning disabilities, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question:
'When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection.
Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do.
Where is the natural order of things in my son?'
The audience was stilled by the query.
The father continued. 'I believe that when a child like Shay, who was mentally and physically disabled comes into the world, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people treat that child.'
Then he told the following story:
Shay and I had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked, 'Do you think they'll let me play?' I knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but as a father I also understood that if my son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.
I approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and said, 'We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning..'
Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a team shirt.. I watched with a small tear in my eye and warmth in my heart. The boys saw my joy at my son being accepted.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three.
In top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as I waved to him from the stands.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat.
At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball.
However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make contact.
The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards Shay. Athe pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground ball right back to the pitcher.
The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.
Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head, out of reach of all team mates.
Everyone from the stands and both teams started yelling, 'Shay, run to first!
Never in his life had Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the baseline, wide-eyed and startled.
Everyone yelled, 'Run to second, run to second!'
Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the base.
By time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball. The smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to be the hero for his team.
He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head.
Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, 'Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay'
Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, 'Run to third!
As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were on their feet screaming, 'Shay, run home! Run home!'
Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam and won the game for his team
'That day', said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, 'the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world'.
Shay didn't make it to another summer. He died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making me so happy, and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!
AND NOW A LITTLE FOOT NOTE TO THIS STORY:
We all send thousands of jokes through the e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sending messages about life choices, people hesitate.
The crude, vulgar, and often obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools and workplaces.
If you're thinking about forwarding this message, chances are that you're probably sorting out the people in your address book who aren't the 'appropriate' ones to receive this type of message Well, the person who sent you this believes that we all can make a difference.
We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to help realize the 'natural order of things.' So many seemingly trivial interactions between two people present us with a choice:
Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up those opportunities and leave the world a little bit colder in the process?
A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate amongst them.
You now have two choices:
1. Delete
2. Forward
May your day, be a Shay Day.
MAY GOD BLESS EVERYONE WHO
DECIDES TO PASS THIS ON.
Gladly re-blogging this- I hope others do as well-
THANK YOU!
If anyone tries to use, “If black people can have black pride, white people can have white pride.” argument show this to them because my man is laying down some truth.
I know this doesn’t fit with the “theme” of my blog, but it needs to be shared.
Very well said
Alpha subs...
Are you upset to see Tumblr change? Are you going to miss some of the naughty interactions? Is it a sad it’s over or glad it happened thing for you?
Upset? No. Happy? No. I am, however, extremely disappointed in my country. I have to admit that I’m not surprised… The writing has been on the walls for decades. The fact the we constantly discuss “evangelical” voters should have been our first clue. The separation of church and state is an integral part of our democracy and yet, somehow, we’ve allowed a small group of disingenuous, fear mongering, fake religious zealots gain enough power and influence to force changes of this nature. I’m disappointed that so many people in my country are stupid enough to fall for their lies. I’m disappointed that so many people in my country are so afraid of people who think or feel differently that they’re willing to overlook hate as long as they can prevent love they don’t understand. I’m disappointed that people want to ban love and sex while protecting hate as free speech. I’m disappointed that we’ve become a bunch of hypocrites. Most importantly, I’m disappointed that our communities ever needed a site like Tumblr in the first place. Love is love. I don’t care how many dicks and pussies are involved or how you’re using them. I don’t care of you’re black, white, purple or green. I don’t care if you want to keep it private or share all of your escapades with every adult who’s willing to listen or look. All that matters to me is consent. Love whoever the fuck you want to love, however the fuck you agree to love each other.
My naughty interactions on Tumblr have been few and far between so I’m not losing much there. I have over 20k following me and I’ve only chatted with a handful over the years so I’m not losing much on the not-so-naughty front either. What can I say? I’m just not that interesting…
Needless to say, I haven’t made plans to move anywhere. If you’d like to contact me, I’ll keep this account active as long as Tumblr allows. I’ll also keep my email address active as well.

PORNAGEDDON
I’ve heard people talk about jumping ship here and I get it. The end of porn is a significant change. Some are making plans to go to alternate sites (like BDSMlr) to meet these desires that are being removed from this platform.
But while there are those people talking about the loss of porn, there’s a bigger loss happening. This used to be a place where people felt they could express themselves freely. Porn, yes, but also puppies (never at the same time). It was a place you could go to write a poem or post a painting or write an essay or sit and watch others do that and use their posts to express yourself. It was a place where all the parts of your life could be represented or not, at your discretion. The picture you took of flowers that were prettily blooming in the spring, a small write-up of a particularly nasty masturbation session, a funny story about how you learned a recipe, a video of someone falling down and laughing, a pretty picture of a tea set, and a selfie of your boobs because they felt pretty that day, too. It was a place where you could be as anonymous or as public as you wanted, you could show your whole personality or any aspect of it you wanted.
That’s the saddest thing. There may be other places with porn, but where can we go to express ourselves and all the things that make up our lives? This place could have been the internet at it’s best: living up to the potential of connecting people through access to truly free communication. The powers that be have increasingly decided that this should be a more mainstream site and more accessible, increasingly restricting our freedoms to build our communities as we see fit.
This blog and the blog site might survive the changeover to Facebook V2. Or it might lose luster when people realize it is now just another social media outlet and collapse. Time will tell.
In the meantime, maybe some smart, ambitious bohemian will work on fulfilling the promise of allowing us to be who we want to be and express it however we like.
To all my followers and to the people I followed over the last 5 years, thank you for the pleasure of your company. It’s been a blast. The tumblr community is one that I’ve enjoyed so much, Dec 17 will be a very sad day for me.
I wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas and a joyous and prosperous new year. Whatever direction you go in go well.
PS: You may well find me elsewhere on another social media blog under the same name or a derivative of it “thegreenroom010 or captainhousebitch or just housebitch
You’ll also be able to find me at “thegreynomad2009” which is a SFW blog. If and when I find a new home somewhere else I will post it here.
Some people have gone to MeWe so I’m investigate that when I get time. Hope to see you down the track.
Thank you for all the wonderful thoughts and images 🙏

My Vision Of Our Tumblr Replacement
I started on Tumblr soon after it was created with a vanilla blog. Since then, hardly a day has gone by that Tumblr wasn’t a part of my life. I have made excellent friends on Tumblr over the years. In fact, MOST of my friends came from relationships I made via Tumblr. The precious, bubbly cupcake that is in my bed? Tumblr. So you can imagine how painful Tumblr’s announcement has been for me.
I love seeing the marginalized communities that are shunned elsewhere on Planet Earth have a safe place to exist and be themselves. It always made me smile when I see a Tumblr blogger ease out of their shells, steadfastly into the world.
Well, that shit is no more.
As some of you may have noticed I started a community effort to rescue these communities. I want everyone involved because it will be our garden, our club, our safe space to be ourselves.
And the new site (name to be withheld until we have something to show) is not just for kinksters, I want vanillas too; artists, witches, horror writers, brewmeisters, budtenders, book sluts, fandoms of all types, beat poets, wilderness photographers, Burners, vampire hunters, Dungeons and Dragons players, and rocket scientists. Hell, I want people who just want to blog about cats and cabins in the woods.
What we won’t tolerate are bullies, minors, Nazis (and their fucked up allies), abusers or trolls. They can fuck right off to a cesspool of their choice.
I am putting up the cash to get this started PLUS I am making this a community effort, that is why I am being so transparent about the process with our Discord planning group. Yes, it is chaos. We have taken on an INSANE project to get done in less than 2 weeks. Well, 9 days now.
This isn’t my first rodeo. I am actively trying to keep my anonymity as long as I can, but I know it will soon be spugged out in due order soon. You will then see what I have done in the past and learn about a very vanilla project that has been near and dear to my heart. You have probably heard of it and maybe even participated!
The beta site will not be perfect. It will be good but not perfect. Hell, we have been suffering with “far from perfect” with Tumblr now for years. It is my hope that our community can put up with our rough edges for a little while.
Where we are tonight is pretty good. We have selected a host, got our software loaded, installed the Linux packages required and are now getting those packages to play nice with one another. We had it working for a bit until a small issue with the registration page required some elbow work.
I am working on the branding and marketing with a bunch of really smart pervs in our Discord group. I am really proud of all of our volunteers and want to thank them all.
If you want to volunteer or simply eat popcorn and watch the porn riots, please use this invite link: https://discord.gg/jVempgb
Remember, Discord is just the site we are using for planning, not the actual site we are moving to.
Many of you have asked about the Library For Kinksters, it will be archived and placed on the now site.
We plan to allow you to import your Tumblr blog over to our new site but Tumblr may have other ideas. Other services have been using Tumblr’s API for exporting and now Tumblr now seems to be shutting down that API functionality.
That is all for now. Keep your heads held high and remember you are ALL FUCKING AMAZING PEOPLE!

P.S. Please reblog the shit out of this. Santa may drop a slutty elf off at your house for Christmas!
P.P.S. Oh and pirates. I really want pirates on the site too!
