Very happy to be in the new issue of Matter: A Journal of Political Poetry and Commentary. I wrote "What We Consider to Be Data" for Ashbery on the day I learned of his passing. The other is an achievement of a long time personal goal, dating back to undergrad, as it is my first published poem featuring the Silver Surfer. Aside from all @sarahgcassidy has taught me, there have been no greater contributions to how I process and interact with reality than Ashbery's poems and Silver Surfer comics. But now, with the recent passing of Stan Lee, both these poems feel elegiac to me.
