I said the exact same thing! I dont know if it was because they were just freshly married or because they were only seeing each other sporadically since Z was filming a billion other things. But, yeah, their chemistry was INSANE.

I wanted more scenes of just them talking.

Vanity Fair has to be out to get Tom with that hit piece. They're pissed he didn't do a cover story with them and that him and Z turned down Lie Detector Test (NGL I'm kind of upset about that too). But yeah, there's something else going on for them to come for the most beloved Tom like that who is arguably the biggest, most bankable movie star right now.

My BND thoughts

First, non spoiler:

TOM'S BODY GOES CRAZY!!

I don't think he ever looked better. I know Z is licking those abs up and down every night. My god. He is so ripped in this movie.

Okay. Now that to got that out of the way...

1) all of you who said I was wrong about MJ can rightfully gloat.. I'm also VERY HAPPY I was wrong about MJ. Chalck it up to my overactive, paranoid brain

Though the scene of her falling was reminiscent of Andrew's Gwens' death and had me on edge a bit.

2. Tom and Z really do have the best chemistry. The scene of them just talking in Franks place was pure magic. I could have listened to them talk for hours.

3) the rooftop scene, OMG. Tom killed it, Zendaya REALLY killed it. The way she switched was diabolical in all the best ways. It was also kind of shocking to see Spidey grab MJ so violently like that. My poor PeterMJ loving heart was like "Noooo, put her down, don't hurt her."

3) how did Peter make money? Maybe I missed it, but how was he able to afford... Anything? Let alone flowers regularly and takeout.

4) on that same note, what was MJs job? She interviewed at a place and turned it down. Are we to assume she already has a job somewhere? The whole money situation really took me out and I needed answers.

5. Sadie is so good. Her realizing what happened to her sister, so heartbreaking. Can't wait to see what she does in the new X-Men films.

7. Hulk and Spidey kind of got me. When Spidey said "Bruce, it's me Peter, I'm your friend." That made me well up a bit. I want more of that relationship.

8. Aunt May and Peter/Jean. Oh how I loved those scenes. I'm so glad we got more of Marissa Tomei. Shes so good as Aunt May and is so missed. Loved her and Jean together.

9. Loved Peter and Jean together. Tom and Sadie had great energy. Very little sister/big Bro. I'm interested to see how their relationship develops in the Avengers

10. Are we to assume all of the hospital staff now knows that Peter is Spider-Man since they had to demask him? Punisher said something about they had to take his mask off to work on him.

11. Speaking of the Punisher. I loved Peter and Punisher in the hospital. That very much seemed like Tom and Jon just riffing off each other. It was cute.

12. Loved the ending with MJ holding the Black Dahlia and Ned/Peter handshake. Soooo good. My audience cheered

For anyone who doubts how strong of a brand Tom and Zendaya are, need not look any further than these opening weekend prediction numbers for BND. They're are now predicting this movie might beat Endgames opening weekend record.

And I have zero doubt that a huge part of the sell of this movie is Tom and Zendaya and all the work they put in for this press tour.

They visited all the major global markets and spent adequate time in each place to not just build up major hype, but also a ton of good will with local and national media stars.

Those two SOLD this movie globally. They did everything right. They leaned into their relationship when appropriate, they kept things light and fun, they showed up, and showed out for the fans, and they gave great soundbites to stay trending for weeks all over social media.

And now the movie is breaking records in just about every country.

Tom deserves every bit of praise for the work he put in. I know he's exhausted and he probably should have given himself some more time, but damn if it didn't work.

Tom will forever be the best Spidey because he truly cares about this character and wants the world to care too.

And with Z by his side they really are becoming an unstoppable duo.

I'll never understand how Z became a Rolex ambassador and not Tom. Tom has a well documented history of his love of watches, specifically Rolex.

I can't imagine he hasn't been offered a partnership with them. And the only reason he wouldn't take it has to be because of a conflict of interest with another brand or offer he was entertaining or under contract with.

So I'm not one to poke at Amy's crazy wigs. I'm pretty sure she has either an autoimmune disease or some form of alopecia/hair loss, and as someone who has lived experience with a loved one who dealt with those issues, I'm very sympathetic.

Amy is a very rich woman and could certainly afford nice wigs or sew-ins if she wanted. But she chooses to go all in on the whimsy and wacky and, at this point it's part of her personality almost like her trademark. If it brings her joy amongst, what I'm sure, has at times been a painful experience, I'm here for it.

However, I've got to wonder if she intentionally meant for her wefts to be so obviously seen like that. Is it part of the bit?

Does she not care, does she even know? I just have so many questions.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I miss them already. I think if they went out more and were more open, we wouldn't be feeling so down about the tour ending. Not to get my hopes up too high, but between now and the end of the year, the promotional run for awards season kicks off. I wonder if TZ will take part in anything, like Actors on Actors or other things... We’ll still see Z for the Dune promo, and hopefully, we’ll see Tom for the Fred rehearsals, and so on...

Honestly, the way Variety has been hating on Tom, I hope he never does an Actors on Actors.

They are absolutely ridiculous. It feels personal at this point. Tom or his team must have said no to them one too many times.

But yeah, I'm feeling serious withdrawls from TZ already. I'm sure we'll see them during award season, but it's just not the same as them doing press together.

This is it. It's over. Tom and Z deserve a massive break and I'm so happy for them. But I feel like we won't hear from them for another 5 years.

It's been such a fun ride seeing them promote two blockbusters together.
