AAAHHHHHHHH!!

I'm not a Jake Shane shooter. I don't follow him and have never watched an episode of his podcast. I just don't get the hysterics at the idea of tom going on the podcast. Plenty of actors have gone on Jake Shane's podcast and kombucha girls show, these podcasts are the way of the future when it comes to promoting. I just think you guys were doing too much at the mere thought of him going on. Again, they kid is mostly inoffensive and tom would be just fine on his podcast

No one is in hysterics. The hyperbole in this discussion is strong.

I stated my opinion that I don't think that Jake would be a good fit for Tom and my reasons why.

I never said Jake was a horrible person, I never claimed it's the end of the world if Tom does go on. There were no hysterics.

Not someone being a Jake Shane shooter 😭 anon pls. If your not good at your job then yes ppl are going to rightfully call you out. Constantly interrupting guest and not doing your research isn't exactly great qualities to have for being a Podcaster. Watching him do interview segments for Vanity Fair was painful

The people in my box going hard for Jake acting like he's a Pulitzer prize journalist is the exact reason why journalism and democracy is dying. These people can't discern a good interview from straight up brain rot. They think TikTok views and virality equals quality. This generation is doomed.

Respectfully Good Hang wasn't much better. He wasn't actually asked anything of substance. She often cut him off. If he brought up a topic before she wanted to talk about it she'd stop him from talking about it and would say she wanted to talk about it later. We learned nothing new or personal. The podcast had weird cuts that abruptly stopped convo. The reality being is just that you guys respect Amy more than you do Jake. But 99% of these podcasts are designed to portray the subject in a positive way. The hopes is that a clip goes viral to promote their work. That's it.

Amy didn't cut Tom off. And you're confusing choppy editing for bad host.

Amy is not a bad host, and if you are comparing her interview style to Jake's and think they're one in the same, you are intentionally being obtuse and contrarian.

Amy doesn't go deep in her questions. She's not the prying type, but at least shes respectful of her guest, takes time to do research before the interview and is a good conversationalist. She also has experience as an actor and celebrity in her own right to know how to act around other celebrities.

Jake acts like every celebrity he meets is the first time he's ever talked to one. He can hardly speak in full sentences.

Amy's editing is choppy and that can be annoying. Her editors are obviously editing for time which does make certain questions feel incomplete.

But she's not even close to being on the same level of a host as Jake.

lol the meltdowns over Jake Shane like he's a horrible human. He's the least offensive podcast host and tom going on would provide nothing but laughs and fun. It's not that deep. Tom could be like other actors his age and go on the Theo Von podcast. Idk I'd take Jake Shane over a lot of what's out there

I watched a interview with Jake and Marcello H from SNL who knew each other before and it was sooo bad 😭Jake kept talking about a date who wasn't texting him back and you could tell Marcello didnt care for him always going back to that. He seems very young minded/immature. And that has nothing to do with his age.

He's still a step down from Amy but Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard could be a interesting podcast for Tom. Dax is sober and i think it would be a good convo to see him talk to Tom about sobriety. But Dax can get a little too personal and he'll def ask about Zendaya so idk if Tom will like that

Immature is the perfect way to describe Jake. He's silly and immature and unseasoned. It's like trying to have a conversation with a 12 year old whose entire worldview is shaped by TikTok and have mush for brains.

Dax is an interesting choice. He's can definitely be a bit controversial, though. I haven't listened to an entire episode of his podcast, but I agree they could probably bond over their sobriety.

I get that and don't disagree, and Jake's listeners probably hit that sweet spot of the TikTok generation. So I understand why Tom's team and the studios would pick him. But I just don't think Jake is the right person to interview someone of Tom's celebrity and personality.

Tom really does need someone a bit more seasoned to ask him questions, and Tom can get annoyed pretty easily when pushed or out of his element.

Tom also isn't a really silly guy. Tom can be funny and charming, but he's not straight up silly, and Jake is sillystupid.

If Tom does that podcast I hope I'm wrong. I know Tom will remain professional no matter what. But I could forsee the interview getting awkward really quickly.

Nooooo pls I hope he doesn’t 😭😭 there are so much better podcast pls. I’m telling you right now based on how i perceive Tom he’s going to find him so annoying. Jake interrupts way too much and he only really gels well with someone he’s friends with or has acquaintances with. Also Tom is not chronically online so 80% of what Jake saids will fly over his head.

Tom will not vibe with Jake, IMO. Tom is not a tik-tokified Gen Z who is chronically online and hip to all the latest lingo and trends. His recent episode with Paul Rudd is so GRATING! Jake does not know how to interview people.

OMG THANK YOU! He's so freaking annoying. It's funny cause the actor Nicholas Galitzine was in his podcast recently (I didn't watch the whole thing, just the clips that ended up on my FYP), and it seemed painfully awkward and everyone in the comments was talking about how much Jake sucks as an interviewer. And I was like “took y'all this long to realize this?? He always sucked” lol

He's the worst. He doesn't ask real questions, he just reacts to everything in over exaggerated Valley Girl like "OMG! No, Really, Are you serious, No WAY! OMG!"

I do not see him and Tom having good chemistry at all.

I don't want Tom to go on Therapuss, I understand why Tom's team would choose them since Jake has a Netflix deal, but I'd much rather have him on Las Culturistas. Or even Shutup Evan, who also has a Netflix deal.

I think Zs declining invitations SNL is not about being fearful of live tv; it's about lack of control of scripts. SNL historically doesn't write well for black women, and more so now when there are no black female cast members. After her experience with this last season of Euphoria, Z would have qualms about trusting others about scripts she has to perform (this is a common problem for multi-season tv shows. Actors know the type of scripts that they are signing up for the first season, but not after that. That's why so many actors in multi-season shows ask to be written off). I think Z will do a run in theater years before she surrenders to SNL

No. Not everything is about race, and I'm a black woman. I have never heard Z speak about SNL, but based on her most recent comments regarding live theater, I'd say that same logic applies to SNL. She's nervous to perform live. Period. It has nothing to do with SNLs writing for black people, which has never really been a thing.

I believe the order is Tom, Z, Sadie, Jacob, Jon, then Mark.

I think it’s now confirmed that the credits list for BND goes…Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink. So Zendaya is still the second name when the credits roll 😁😁

I don't know why people were ever doubting Z would be second billed. She's Peters enduring love interest and major motivation behind most of what he does. Also, Zendaya is a household name and has been in all the movies. She is not going to get billed behind a newbie.

I haven't seen where Sadie is third billed, I would think Jon would be third and Sadie fourth with Mark getting an honorary "with" credit.

But really, billing comes down to contract negotiations. It's not always about screentime, top billed and order billed is a contractual stipulation that agents negotiate for on behalf of their clients.

Tom talking about snl was interesting I have a feeling he’s going to do it sooner now than never.

I grew up watching zendaya on of undercover and she would absolutely crush doing snl,but she would need to overcome her anxiousness of live tv. It’s interesting because she did way more live tv when she was younger and completely avoids it now

It's interesting how fearfull Z is of doing so many things like directing and live theater when she grew up around theater and tv sets her whole life.

I also found it interesting that Tom mentioned on Amy's podcast that he would love to direct. I think TZ should find a low stakes project that they could direct each other on. Like maybe an ad for Bero, something small to get their feet wet and their nerves settled.

Harry codirected Tom's Vuori ad, which I think is such a good way for a novice to get practice and experience.

Z needs a project where she won't feel a ton of pressure and can still learn.

As for Tom on SNL, I think it'll eventually happen. It sounds like he wants it to. Tom seems the type to tackle his fears head on if he's in the right head space.

I think if he did a guest cameo he could see how he feels and will feel more comfortable doing the whole show.

Anyway, its always sweet to see how much Nikki loves Z. Goes back to when TZ were broken up and Nikki liked that video of Tom describing his dream girl aka Z. Even when she was a gf to one of her other exes I remember she gave a dress from her Tommyx Z line to his mom pretty early on, she seems like she'd be a good daughter in law.

Nikki seems to have always been TZs number one fan, encouraging Tom to go after her.

It's even more apparent how much Nikki loves Z by the fact that she was the one that gave Tom the idea to develop a drink specifically for Zs liking.

I feel we moved off of that way too quickly, btw.

That picture you posted is of Tom as Spider-Man, not Peter Parker. Look at Peter in the trailer, and set photos. His hair is very flat, not his best hair looks.

What does that matter? We're talking about Tom's hair. Why does it matter what character he's playing. He's not wearing a wig AFAIK for either Peter or SM.
