being in the dandadan fandom is weird bc anime onlys ONLY call okarun “okarun” (obviously) and so do most manga readers bc that is almost universally what he’s called in both versions of canon however comma if you read or write a lot of fanfic from okarun’s POV it becomes natural to also think of/speak of him as just “ken” because that is (canonically) how he refers to himself in his own brain and if you just see it a lot it’s not weird. But casually calling him “ken” probably makes YOU seem like a weirdo to other people. like you’re being all 🤓☝️ “erm actually, his real name is ken. okarun is his nickname.” or perhaps it comes off like you think you are special and you are on a first-name basis with The Character when not even his closest friends in the source material call him by his first name. but it’s just cause . fanfiction,, and you’re calling him both okarun and ken in the same sentence because he’s both and it’s all mixed up in your brain and it’s whatever and it’s just . 👍
