Home away from home is a lot of places, but none are quite so homey as Javi's. He's a curmudgeon, sure. Intense, sometimes. But he's also kind. Jenna knows that if the world were falling apart, if the sky were falling and the world were ending, all she would ever need to do is call and he'd be there. For that, she loves him.
She's in his kitchen, sat on the counter beside the stove, watching the master at work. Already, she has made herself at home. Sweats. Giant t-shirt. Socks that are nearing their end. Out of respect for the kitchen, she's tied her long hair up and knotted it atop her head.
She's got his reading glasses sat on the end of her nose, reading the screen of her phone aloud. It's a Cosmo quiz: How Passionate Are You? "The most impulsive thing you could imagine doing, or have done, with a guy is..." They're going to have to come off soon, the glasses. She doesn't need them. "A. Drunk-dialing him." She glances at him, pulling a face. "B. Going on a trip with him after dating two weeks." Again, weak. "Or C - moving in together in the first month."
