i will gladly say that. i think that publicly posting sexually explicit or otherwise invasive stuff about complete strangers contributes to a harmful erosion of boundaries and basic respect. i dont think becoming a b-list internet celebrity means someone forfeits their right to be thought of as a full person instead of a fictional character. i think the fact that plenty of internet content creators have openly said that invasive fanbases have been detrimental to their mental health is proof enough that this is part of a larger trend that has unfortunate real-world implications.

but yeah, i hear from some older fans on reddit that they used to watch every single piece of content rt/ah put out, and that now, they struggle to watch a new minecraft episode, or whatever the fuck series they don't like anymore, and it's so??? weird?

like, do they know that they aren't obligated to watch/listen to everything that's released? i still watch a lot of AH content, and enjoy a few of their podcasts, but i always skip games that don't interest me, like gmod, or avoid topics i dislike, like red web with horror. that doesn't inherently make the content trash now; it's just something i'm not interested in. some content just isn't made for me :)

i've always regularly just watched minecraft and sometimes gta if i feel like it or if it's a heist, and then random videos that people have said were funny or looked interesting.

and right?? the only thing AH is doing that is differently lately is i think they are trying a lot of new show formats which is fine? they are trying to find some things that stick that they enjoy doing and if that isn't some fans bag then they are not obligated to watch it.

Where it’s supernatural!fahc, as in all the fakes are some sort of supernatural, right?

And then we have Trevor, what they think is a normal human who they bring along in the crew. They mean to tell him, they do, but that is sort of... crushed when Trevor admits he also runs a podcast on the side where he tries to find and expose cryptids and solve small mysteries?

Cue the entire crew trying to hide their true natures and all evidence of their fucked up lives while Trevor is red-webbing his way in the next room like “I’m getting closer... 👀”

What a comedy of errors lol

(And they think he’ll be mad or betrayed when he finally finds out but instead he’s only annoyed because he could have proved the existence of supernatural creatures like a year ago but these dicks had to be filled with ~anxiety~).
