willowbreit:
âSatisfactory,â she breathed, leaning in to press her lips to his neck.
Jeremy tilted his head to the side to give her a better angle, his hand sliding around to her back and pressing her even closer to him.
willowbreit:
Willow shivered despite the relatively warm night as his hands slipped beneath her shirt, one of her hands sliding to the side of his face. She groaned as she ground her hips against his, heart beating a mile a minute.
Jeremy pulled away slightly, leaning his forehead against hers. âBetter?â he asked, his breathing heavy.
willowbreit:
Willowâs eyes widened as he pulled her against him, her breath catching in her throat as her back met the ledge. They were nearly at eye level, thanks to her heels, and she wound her arms around his neck as he closed the distance between them. One of her hands slid up into his hair as she ran her tongue over his bottom lip, and she tried to ignore the slight tingle that ran down her spine.Â
Jeremy tangled his tongue with hers, his fingers slipping just under the hem of her shirt and brushing bare skin. He moved impossibly closer to her, his hips pressing harder against hers while one of his hands traveled further up under her shirt.
jeremydoherty:
Jeremy raised an eyebrow, then leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers. âThere,â he said after he pulled away. âNow weâre even.â
Willow opened her mouth to protest, but instead a smirk rose to her lips. âThat was kind of shitty.â
Jeremy's eyes darkened, and he grabbed Willow by the hips and pulled her flush against him before pinning her against the ledge they were standing by. He dipped his head down and hovered just over her lips for a few moments to build up the tension, then pressed his lips hard against hers.
willowbreit:
âI try not to be,â she shrugged, glancing back over at him. âSorry about kissing you, by the way.â
Jeremy raised an eyebrow, then leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers. âThere,â he said after he pulled away. âNow weâre even.â
willowbreit:
âYou didnât want to think about it that way,â she shrugged, turning to look back over the ledge. âItâs easier to think someoneâs a bitch than to wonder why.â
âTrue,â he said, biting the inside of his cheek. âMaybe youâre not so bad after all, Breit.â
willowbreit:
Willow turned to face him, somewhat sad look on her face. âI thought of all people you mightâve been able to figure it out,â she started, pulling a lighter out of her pocket, hand returning to hang at her side. âLook at me, Jeremy. What friends do I have? I throw these crazy parties thinking that everyone showing up at my doorstep thinks Iâm cool and wants to be friends with me. But look at me now. Whoâs up here with me? Fucking no one.â Willow shook her head, eyes dropping to the ground. âParties seem like âmy thingâ because Iâve tried so hard to make it look like that. Itâs likeâbuying friends with alcohol. Everyone loves you in those couple hours the party lasts, but then itâs all over. Thatâs the deal.â
Jeremyâs eyebrows went up in surprise, his mouth slightly open as he listened to her. âShit. I never thought about it that way.â
noellescott:
âI donât know how Iâm supposed to go on with my running buddy on the west coast,â she teased, bottom lip catching on her teeth. âI guess Iâm just worried Iâll be homesick.â
âWe can FaceTime on our morning runs,â he joked, nudging her with his shoulder. âI think everyone worries about that, but itâs like the first step towards living on our own. You still get to go back for breaks and have your parents do your laundry while living with a bunch of people you donât know and having a little more freedom for the rest of the year.â
willowbreit:
Willow laughed, shaking her head as she flicked a pebble off of the ledge. âEmphasis on the âkind of.ââ
âWell, you just became about fifteen percent more interesting,â he said, smirk playing at his lips. âSo whatâs the deal?â
willowbreit:
Willow looked at him thoughtfully. âYouâre a good friend,â she said simply, following his gaze out over the buildings.Â
Jeremy shrugged, glancing over at her. âWhyâre you up here? Arenât parties kind of your thing?â
noellescott:
âUSCâs kinda far, donât cha think?â she mused, pursing her lips.
âThatâs kind of the appeal. I mean, Brooklynâs looking to move out that way too and my brotherâs already in Michigan. The only thing that Iâll actually miss about New York is you,â he said with a shrug. âWhatâs keeping you here?â
willowbreit:
âI have a couple questions. If you donât like parties, whyâd you come? Why canât you leave?â she asked, counting her questions off on her fingers.Â
âBrooklyn wanted to come drown his sorrows and I donât trust his choice in designated drivers. There, two birds one stone.â He leaned his forearms on the edge of the roof, looking out over the city. âSomebodyâs gotta watch out for his irresponsible ass.â
jeremydoherty:
Jeremy recognized the voice right away and almost took off down the stairs again, but remembering that there was nowhere else to go besides the party, he sighed and walked towards the edge of the roof and, unfortunately, Willow. âI mustâve pissed off someone really powerful with the luck Iâm having tonight,â he said finally, leaning his back against the ledge.
Willow frowned and leaned back against the ledge, watching as he neared her. âYou seem like you have the potential to be an ass, so I wouldnât be surprised if you did. Whatâs got your panties in a twist? Seeing me?â she offered, cocking her head to the side.
"Oh, I can definitely be an ass when I want to be," he said, his voice taking on a joking tone. "I'm not that into parties and the roof was my escape plan, but I can't leave and I'm sure as hell not going back so you're surprisingly not the worst option right now."
brooklynreeves:
Brooklyn shook his head slowly, a half-hearted smile on his lips. âYouâre telling me.â
Jeremy looked at his watch and took a step to the side. âIâm gonna take a shortcut through the library, but Iâll catch you at lunch, yeah?â
noellescott:
âYeah, for real. Be happy you only have two months to go while I have a whole year to suffer through.â
âOne more year and you can come join me at USC,â he grinned, shooting her a wink.
willowbreit:
Willow jumped as she heard the rock rolling across the roof, a plume of smoke spilling from her lips as she turned to find the source of the movement. âHello?â she called, making out the figure of a boy, though she couldnât tell who exactly he was.Â
As soon as Brooklyn was otherwise occupied, Jeremy slipped out of the party and started wandering through the halls of the unfamiliar apartment building. He came across a door labeled âRoof Accessâ and pulled on it, the door easily opening for him. He jogged up the stairs and nudged the next door open -- already propped open with a rock -- and his eyes fell on the lone figure up there, leaning over the ledge of the roof. Curious, Jeremy walked closer, accidentally kicking a stone the rest of the way across the roof.
