After School Series I’ve been working on in #35mm. Think it’s dope to see how kids express themselves through fashion & the things they do. When I was in middle school, after school was all about making sure you got home safe without having to fight anyone, or getting jumped. Often times I wasn’t even allowed to play outside bc my neighborhood was dangerous. So I enjoy vicariously living through kids in an area where they can enjoy themselves without the anxiety of what’s going to happen next. I went to Flatbush on my birthday to get interviewed by Mi Pana Cubana @amanda.isabellaa for her podcast ‘First Generation’. #35mm I am truly thankful for what the internet has done for me. I never considered myself an antisocial person, I just felt like I became s h y? Especially after ~*calmándome un poco*~. I was always one of the loud ones, the one doing the most. Thankful to have grown out of that. Going to Miami alone was def awakening for me.I have never considered myself a loner, I know for a fact that I'm a full blown lover of all beautiful ppl, but indulging on what the universe grants me to experience is such a good feeling to me. I've reserved myself a lil bit & I realize that as I upload my work. I like the feeling of being un poco mas privada. If I'm not usually in my head I'm bouncing around dancing, vibing, being 1 with myself, the music, the atmosphere. I walked into this party, rolled an L, smoked sum and just started snapping away. What's new? I didn't want to small talk I just wanted to do me. This rapper duo had the energy for 100+ ppl yet only like 7 of us were paying attention. I enjoyed them, I appreciated their livelihood & I also wondered, why don't ppl want to dance?! Maybe this is the connection that's missing in parties?
