We at Piczel.tv are sad to see Tumblr’s stance against NSFW artists, and would like to offer up our services as an alternative to Tumblr’s arbitrary shadowbans, deletions, and general stupidity.

We’re happy to host adult artists who are looking for a new place to call home, and are planning a few key upgrades and features. 

Effectively immediately though, our gallery upload size restriction has been removed, to be likely raised to 10MB in the near future for non-premium users. As always, we support image sets, and don’t compress anything. Firstly, for those that have been using tumblr as a portfolio, you’ll need a way to download all of your art, if you don’t have backups somewhere else. We are planning a tool for Piczel.tv that will import zip files full of images, including titles and descriptions if we are able. Second, we’re planning the following upgrades to piczel in the coming weeks: 1. Bulk upload/import to your piczel.tv gallery 2. Gallery UI cleanup and improvements 3. Gallery performance improvements 4. Gallery comments with in line image and custom emote support 5. Site-wide PMs (in the vein of tumblr asks, but better) 6. Archive button for your piczel account Don’t forget to follow us on twitter, we may be deleted on the 17th with everyone else. Until then, we’ll make posts here to keep everyone in the loop Please consider reblogging this to help artists in need.

I have nearly 3000 followers here that I have built up for over a year. I’ve put a lot of work into this Tumblr account, and it really bothers me I’m going to have to leave.

And so , the final countdown has started for good.

Tumblr is shutting down every NSFW account on December 17th, and that means that everything we’ve done until now will go to waste… exactly, Tumblr just took a huge dump on us and all our followers.

The sad part about it is that I really enjoyed certain aspects of Tumblr when it came to sharing my work with all my 7,616 followers on this profile and my 6,401 followers on my DarrenAce Profile.

Oh right, almost forgot about that part, but I’m sure most people already knew that VentZx and DarrenAce (Darren’s Adventure) were the same guy… yup , me… Surprise!

So since both my accounts have NSFW content, it is most certain that I’m gonna be nuked on the 17th day…

Is it still fan art if this is someone else’s OC that I drew for them in the past? Anyways, this is Silver. She was featured in the Ruff Luv comic I drew for e-hentai user Super Shanko earlier this year. Just to be absolutely clear, Silver is Super Shanko’s OC.

I’m starting to realize I default to drawing furries when stressed. I’m supposed to be working on one of my final requests but the pose they want is... challenging. I made some progress, but not nearly enough for me to be happy with myself.

Okay so that thing I said I didn’t have time to explain yesterday? That’s because I got hired for a temp position and they needed to interview me IMMEDIATELY. I got hired for an evening job where I get off around midnight, so my uploads may come either in the early afternoon or the early morning depending on how I adjust to the schedule. I’m still here

Normally I’d be pretty excited that I survived a disaster like the sudden rain of banhammers. But I’m not. A lot of good erotic artists have lost their blogs and even their work because of an overzealous bot moderated by ignorant or overly-cautious staff. In the aftermath I have now spread myself across 7 different sites:

E-hentai, hentai-foundry, Furaffinity, twitter, pixiv, piczel.tv, and tumblr.

I had intended to use tumblr as a sort of “communications hub” where people could easily reach out and chat with me because a lot of other sites require the use of forums or lack an internal messenger altogether. But now that I know I can’t trust the staff of this site not to eventually destroy my progress, I have to find a new place to settle.

I hate feeling adrift like this. And I hate thinking about how this will happen again. But I can’t sit around and mope about how something MIGHT happen to me or what HAS HAPPENED to others because I am still here and I have work to do.
