In Croatia we hired a boat for a day so we could explore all of the beautiful and hidden beaches and caves around the Island of Vis. This is one of the caves. The water was pitch black. Andy jumped in and I wanted to follow but couldn't, I couldn't muster the courage to jump into water where I could not see a single thing. There was a loud internal dialogue, the irrational me vs the rational me. I knew that if I didn't jump in I would regret it and as the boat drove away, regret kicked in. But I am glad it happened this way, this was an incredibly powerful lesson to reflect on in the lead up to giving birth.
