I'm divorced. My ex and I share custody. The car seats in the backseat and a quiet, messy house are the very real reminders that I'm a mom on the days my kids aren't with me. Divorce with children is a mind trip bc you don't plan to get divorced when you marry and have kids; you expect to stay parents and partners. Then when you aren't able to be partners, parents together takes on a new challenge. Not to mention my own definition of being a parent and the illusion of permanence in life. This is a reality of divorce no one told me about. #divorce #singlemom #sharedparenting
