That’s why we give them edible glitter! Please take your jester to the doctor immediately if it was not edible. Otherwise, they might be having a bad stomachache- What have you fed them recently? Please remember that Jesters are not actually a direct breed of clown and have very different diets! Jesters feed off of table scraps typically, and require meat!

A reminder that, since April Fools day was recently, a lot of jesters have been bred horribly and fast to sell them. If you find any abandoned jesters, please take them to your local jester shelter, as many of them may have eggs! Please keep an eye out for our bell-clad friends!

Common, Court, and in groups, Petites will not hesitate to try to get at an open wound, whether it be on human, clown, mime, or jester, or other. Petites are pack animals when hunting, so you don’t have to worry unless you have five or more.

A friendly reminder to always keep bleeding wounds covered around Jesters! Jesters are opportunists and may try to attack at the injury as a result, as they may see you as prey. Please be cautious!

He's been settling in nicely! Still not sure what kind of clown this is. No, he's not dead! I found this poor little guy last Halloween underneath my bed, starved and lost. After feeding him and luring him out throughout a few days, he was still skittish- But he seems to be doing much better now! He seems to be some class of Creepy, maybe? Or perhaps he's a new breed entirely. I haven't seen any like him around before.

My mime and Jester are becoming very close after my mimes mate died. Is it okay if I let them hangout more? Im worried if they mate it not be good, can Jesters and mimes mix safely or will I have to keep them apart?

From my experience, it’s a hit or miss with mimes and jesters. Jesters tend to be very vocal, and mimes don’t make much noise; Hybrids usually are pretty good, though, and take up more bells than usual, since they lack the ability to speak. If you’re thinking of letting them breed, then be careful; The coloring may be duller than usual, but that’s natural, which means you have to focus on other things to see depression in them. And you’ll need many bells.

are petite jesters humanely bred? i only ask bc while they're beautiful i know that in other animal species, tiny size can be bred through inbreeding and malnutrition. i hope its not the same for jesters!

Yes, they are! Petite jesters are due to a natural, but originally rare, strain of genes in the wild. But now, they’ve been bred into a safe and stable subgroup of jesters.

There appear to be a few people that are still confused as to the difference between a Jester and a Fool; though the two are closely related these two species have different behaviors and dietary needs! Here’s some pointers on how to tell the difference between a Jester and a Fool. The differences are minor but very important to keeping your pet happy!

You know people act like mimes are incapable of love, but you really just have to give them time to warm up to you? They can love you just as much as any harlequin or jester, they just obviously show their affection differently since they’re silent. You can tell a mime is happy around you when it snaps its suspenders, don’t be fooled by the fact that in most whiteface species that’s a sign of aggression

I hate to add on to such a sweet post but remeber new mime owners: it’s a myth mimes will speak to you if the trust you enough, most mime species have one lung and shrunken vocal cords if a mime, or mime mix ever makes noises its most likely in pain.

Do not expect mimes to convey their emotions like a regular clown! It’s physically impossible! Learn their body language please!
