[The door creaks open, letting in a breeze that smells of burnt pickles. A pie wobbles on the counter, its filling glowing faintly. Milk in the glass is bright purple, fizzing like it’s alive. The steak floats slightly above the plate, pulsing with each drip. Fries curl into spirals, twitching every now and then. Soup ripples, as if something just swam through it. A soda hisses, bubbles rising far too slowly, like syrup. The sandwich breathes softly, its lettuce rustling in the air. Donuts blink in and out of existence, glaze dripping into nowhere. The air hums, thick with tension, as if waiting for something to speak.]

We’ve all heard about what happened in Afghanistan, where women have lost all their human rights, but something else has come to light. You see men from all over the world expressing that they wish this could happen everywhere. I’m saying this because I want women to see the bigger problem here. Men worldwide are unhappy that women are independent. They would love to see women silenced, to strip away our rights. That’s what many men want, and it’s visible everywhere. I see it on Twitter and TikTok. The number of men out there who want the worst for women, who hate the idea of women working, who despise women’s independence, who believe women should belong to them is crazy. That’s why we, as women, have to be more careful, more awake, more focused, and conscious. It’s a very dangerous time for us now. As women become more independent and knowledgeable, men want to fight us and any progress made.

Ugly men will never understand what the struggle of body image is like for even the most beautiful woman.

To be ugly as a man is to be an unfortunate victim of fate, deserving of your sympathy and entitled to a chance to prove himself despite his flaws. His ugliness is his own misfortune, and others are to blame for viewing him so poorly.

To be ugly as a woman is to be lazy and lack character, otherwise you would have done more work on yourself and conformed to expectations better. Her ugliness is the misfortune of those around her, and she is to blame for presenting so poorly.

You cannot directly compare the two experiences even a little bit. Male attractiveness is not moralized the way women's attractiveness always has been.
