Who except God can give you peace? Has the world ever been able to satisfy your heart?
Saint Gerard Majella
I have given God countless reasons not to love me. None of them has been strong enough to change Him.
Paul Washer
Do you not know? Do you not know that every artist is madly in love with each work of art that they call good? Do you not know that God called us very good? We look at creation and see the beauty that it holds and say to ourselves âOh how God must love it all! I am but a speck in the expanse of it all!â and still the Artist dances and says âLook! Look what I have made, what I am still making! Look how good it is!â and the whole of creation thinks âOh how God must love this work of art, this precious masterpiece.â With each brush stroke, you are loved, with each hour that is spent in the details, you are being prepared. In the end, you will be signed with the signature of the greatest artist who ever was, put on display so that the world will know that Christ made something great.
T.B. LaBerge // Go Now
You may fear that the Lord has passed you by, but it is not so: he who counts the stars, and calls them by their names, is in no danger of forgetting his own children. He knows your case as thoroughly as if you were the only creature he ever made, or the only saint he ever loved. Approach him and be at peace.
Charles Spurgeon
Jesus did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
Not the righteous, but people who make mistakes.
Not the righteous, but people who went too far in their last relationship.
Not the righteous, but people who havenât read their Bible since forever.
He came for screw-ups, basket-cases, burn-outs, knuckle-heads, weirdos, the sick, the lame, the miserable.Â
For You. Me. Us.
The tragedy is that every time life reminds us that weâre sinners, we feel like maybe we donât measure up to this Jesus thing.
But Jesus did not come to call the righteous. He came for sinners.
He came for people whoâve cheated.
He came for people whoâve been too afraid to step out in the first place.
He came for home-wreckers. For people with blood on their hands. For people with sex on their brain.
He came for addicts, failures, and losers. And even for people who look down on addicts, failures, and losers.
For You. Me. Us.
He came to teach us a new life that isnât that way. But he came knowing full well the life weâve already lived.
Tomorrow, you may fall again. If not tomorrow, soon. And when it happens, when you do the unthinkably terrible for the first time, or simply the terribly familiar for the thousandth time, you will be tempted.
Tempted to think that this Jesus thing isnât for you. Tempted to think your actions prove you didnât make the cut.
But in that moment, remember. Remember that Jesus loves you. Remember that Jesus wants you. And, then, remember:
Jesus did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
And this is the marvel of marvels; that he called me Beloved.
C.S. Lewis
Legalistic remorse says, âI broke Godâs rules,â while real repentance says, âI broke Godâs heartâ.
Timothy Keller
Godâs grace calls you to suffer and it calls you to wait, but it never calls you to stand in your own strength or to stand alone.

The love of Jesus is greater than the ache of my heart.
âEven when I hear nothing, I rest in knowing He hears me.â
