For me talking would help them so much, BUT I'm not sure it was even possible then, and I fear it's kinda too late now, or still to early 😅
Post UTM, they both were too traumatized to be able to talk. They would have had to figure their feelings and PTSD first, and I'm not sure they were capable of doing that. Well maybe Feyre, but definitely not Tamlin. I don't hate him, but I really pity him : I think his fears and insecurities turned into obsession and possessiveness, and I think he was sooo terrified of loosing her that he failed to recognized when "protection" turned into abuse, and entered a vicious cycle.
And Feyre would have had to figure out that Tamlin "protecting" her and making her the perfect spring doll bride was feeling very similar to being captive UTM, and I think she never would have told him that, because it would harm him too much (wich is true) And also she would have had to accept she needed help and can't do it alone and OH BOY is this a challenge for her 😂
Their trauma responses and needs were like, too opposites to be healed together.
And now... I think Feyre managed to heal things, but did it using Tamlin as an antagonist, like her healing process WAS to separate her from Tamlin and erase him from her life and never think about him again (I call it hiding things under the rug, not healing, but you do you girl😂)
And Tamlin would have to go through his self hate completely, and recognize which part is PTSD and which part is actually him feeling shame for his terrible choices and actions, before being able to talk in a constructive way (and not just blaming himself and turning him into the victim in the process ( it's NOT helping))
Feyre would also have to face the consequences of her actions in the spring court and I don't think she's ready for this.
Their relation is SO FUCKED UP but honestly I love it this way, because it's like, so TRAGIC, and there is no solution, it's all glued in trauma and fatality and tragedy and resentment and I LOVE IT
