Cool to be shot by the man himself. Thanks Glen!
The man himself, Yamamoto-san of Tailor Caid, in his Atelier in Japan wearing it well.

Yamamoto-san of Tailor Caid is truly an interesting guy. A die-hard proponent of mid-century style, when you walk into his atelier in Shibuya, you’re literally transported back to the 1950′s. Old Esquire’s & GQ’s, a record player with period specific speakers, a typewriter (which he uses), and binders full of screenshots from 50′s movies (e.g., Bullitt) all adorn the space.
The cut of the jacket is no doubt, true to the period. The lapels are on the slim side (especially when compared to the shoulder line) and the canvassing is heavy, giving the top half of the jacket it’s signature full and relaxed look. The details are kept simple, with a center hook vent, a two button cuff, and a full cut sleeve.
Yamamoto-san will be visiting the Armoury NYC on September 18th and 19th to take orders for his ivy league jackets and overcoats.
