Meeting
「♔」As he walked further into the alley he couldn’t help but smell a foul smell that he recognized easily. He furrowed his brows, the smell of blood was suddenly surrounding him — there was no mistaking it. He was stumbled, and he wasn’t aware of what or whom he was going to stumble upon. This would be interesting one way or another.
Suddenly as he heard a soft young voice echo he stopped and widened his eyes. He wasn’t mistaken, that voice sounded young, someone who was younger his age. Furrowing his brows he hesitated, and even though the young female had stated that she could see him in the darkness, he became even more curious. But under the moonlights rays he could see a small young girl who was standing in the middle of the alley way. His question was, why was she out this late? Not to mention that he noticed that she was dressed up as a doll. No, she didn’t seem like a peasant, nor was she higher his status upon this society. Was she someone from a rich family?
Many question went through his mind, but as he walked towards her, his butler walked behind him — a grin plastered onto the demons lips. The demon knew whom this strange female was, but the young noble child was unaware. But then again, it was very odd to see a little girl wonder around London, not to mention she looked like a lost puppy. Her shaky voice was definitely a sign that she was just afraid and helpless. Of course the young noble child had no intention on hurting her, to him it already seemed odd that she was out this late at night. Not to mention there was been a lot of mysterious deaths lately around London. Two bite marks on the neck have been noticed, the young noble child knew he had to follow the Queen’s order — whoever the culprit was, he or she could be anywhere as of Ciel’s knowledge.
Although the young bluenette couldn’t help but get an eerie vibe from her. Upon getting closer to her she stopped. ❝Why would such a young child be out this late?❞ His tone of voice was soft and soothing, he wasn’t trying to threaten her at all — after all he was only curious. But then again, he was still on his guard. Who knew what she was capable of. Because after all the young noble child had seen many things in his life, and he’s pretty aware that humans aren’t the only ones here.
{ 四季 } - Out of the darkness came a small boy, no taller than she herself, dressed prestigiously in an attire that struck the female as being rather odd. Now, she wasn’t one to critique others fashion, nor was the Shiki one to draw conclusions about another based on how they dressed. However, in this circumstance, an air of nobility, if not royalty, struck her attention when that wandering gaze of midnight-crimson first landed upon this young male. This boy was someone of fine class, that was for sure. His presentation and appearance were neat and tidy; jacket buttoned right to the neck, pants well-fitted, shoes were polished to the point where even the moonlight had a slight reflection off their shimmering surface, and his head of silky long silver locks was adorned with one of the fanciest of top hats Sunako had ever laid eyes on. This outfit seemed all to perfect, as if the boy were nothing more than a porcelain doll stowed away in the safety of a China cabinet. That was, however, until inky sunken in orbs directed their gaze upwards in an attempt to peak into those opposing optics of steel-blue. It then where something peculiar was found - something that seemed to catch the petite girls fancy.
An eyepatch?
–Yes, that was what this male bore. Upon his right hue, beneath the thick mass of silvery hair that seemed to display itself ever so conveniently over that one spot, lay a patch of black cloth obstructing the others view. It was a rather strange sight to take in, one the violette had yet to witness in all her years of life, and that in itself said a lot. However, it was an image of which perked the curiosity of hundreds of questions that were now boiling, awaiting patiently to be released, on the females tongue. Many of them were simple, inquired out of the pure hopes of receiving some sort of conversation that would later, if possible, to a friendly relationship. While others harboured a darker meaning, they delved into personal matters and explored the deep unknown of what and who exactly this male was. They weren’t necessarily sadistic in nature, and would only be asked out of the overwhelming curiosity Sunako had for others. But the inquiries were certainly things of which would probably bring a slight sense of discomfort or grief to the clad boy, especially if what presently lingered within the purplettes mind was correct.
Another step was taken in advancement and the Shiki soon found herself but mere strides away from the other. A girlish giggle was expelled, escaping between two thin, pallid lips that had parted just for such an action before a reply, spoken in a tone that practically radiated with innocence, then followed. “Perhaps it is because I am not so young!” She stated, then chuckled once more in her cutely way. “However, who are you to question my being out so late when I myself could ask you the exact same question?” Eyes half-twinkled at the given reply as the female, having already skipped the rest of the way over to where the stranger stood firmly, lifted upwards a single, frail arm and pushed back the tuffs of hair that camouflaged that intriguing covered eye.
“Tell me,” She began once more, tapping the slender digit of her left hand beside her own dark hue. “Why is it that you wear an eyepatch? Surely there must be something hidden underneath, though what it is I cannot guess…”
"This a story from long ago, when there were still more burials than cremations.
Once, there was a little girl from a very wealthy family. They lived in a fashionable mansion, a giant house with many rooms, and had dozens of servants to see to their every need. The girl’s life was a happy one; she grew up in comfort with two loving parents, but that changed, when a strange man came to visit. Her life was never the same.
One day, she awoke to find herself trapped in utter darkness, trapped inside of a coffin. She cried and screamed for what felt like forever, until at last, someone came to save her.
Then I attacked the man who rescued me, I had to. I was so incredibly hungry. Shortly after I returned home I was sent off to a nameless town far away. They kept me locked up in a storehouse. Once a day, someone would come to bring me food; every day I attacked whoever came.
So every day, a different person would appear. When I think back, it frightens me, I’m certain now that in spite of what I was, my parents were still finding a way to feed me.
I learned a great deal during my days inside the storehouse. In time, I came to understand what kind of creature I’d become, and eventually I ran away.
I attacked indiscriminately as I made my way home, but when I got there strangers were living in my house. My family had moved away. So I went looking for them. I looked for a long, long time.
Years passed, so many that there was no way my parents could possibly still be alive. Even knowing that, I kept looking. Eventually, so much time had passed that surely, even my little sister would long since have passed away.
I was all alone”
{ 四季 } - “Do you think that stakes can go through the chest in one stroke?
My body is a child’s body…
My bones and chest are thin.
If they hammer with all their might, I think that it will go all the way through me with one stroke.
— I’m scared.
Isn’t it funny?
I’ve killed so many people, yet…
No matter how brutal the killer, I don’t think he killed as many as I did.
Being killed is my punishment and yet,
I’m so scared.”

Shiki is a horror anime that has made it into my top 5 animes of all time. The music plays a major part in the anime as is accompanies a series of gruesome slaughters. (both humans and vampires). The animation is gorgeous and the death is seemingly never-ending. But over all, this series deserved a special place in my heart.
