here for the bald head and disheveled look like,, yes 🔥🔥🔥
i have the jameshopper url but
𝐉𝐈𝐌 𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐈𝐍 ‘𝟖𝟑 & ‘𝟖𝟒 :
infiltrated a heavily - guarded government facility ,
located a gateway to the upside down & found the courage to investigate it on his own without knowing what he was facing ,
penetrated a biohazard area without wearing a proper attire because he thought it would lead him to a missing kid .
was one step ahead & knew what was going on before anyone else in hawkins ,
showed up at every doctor’s appointment with will & joyce byers to provide emotional support & make sure they were safe even though it must have brought back some dreadful memories .
uncovered government - supervised experiments on children ,
risked his life to ensure his friend wasn’t insane or delusional & that there was a way to find her son even though all pointed to the fact that he was already dead .
sheltered , fed , taught & protected one of the children experimented on & struggled like hell for her to have a normal life ,
returned to the monster - infested lab to protect el knowing full well he had high chances of dying in the process .

sara. is it wrong that her first thought is what a lovely name ? a nanothought that will surely eat at her later when she’s doing stocktake, or watching television long after the boys are in bed. there are, immediately, instantaneously, a million questions she wants to ask. WHAT WAS SHE LIKE ? i bet she had your eyes, huh ? she knows, though, that there’ll never be a good & right moment to ask those questions, & instead joyce lets the curiosity burn furiously within her, bright & hot, for the handful of moments it takes to burn itself out. CURIOSITY IS HUMAN NATURE ; to act on its impulses is a choice.
a surreptitious glance at her watch as hopper catches benny’s attention. resolves to ask benny soon if she can use his phone —- call donald, request the rest of the day off. SOMETHING CAME UP. jonathan’s sick, perhaps. even that triggers an overwhelming sense of guilt, & joyce finds herself chewing on her bottom lip, closely watching hopper light a new cigarette. the shake of the hand reminds her of herself, as odd as that feels. the realization brings with it the hideous reminder of a friendship all but dissolved in the sands of time ; someone once so close is now little more than a stranger.
❛ i’m sorry to hear about her — sara. ❜ words are quiet yet earnest, not expecting a response. not expecting any more explanation. it answers more than enough, anyway. at mention of her boys, though, & joyce finds herself smiling softly, leaning back a little in the booth. ( she gets so tightly wound when she’s worried ; always has to remind herself to loosen up, literally. ) ❛ jonathan & will. jonathan’s twelve ; will’s eight. ❜ she answers a question that wasn’t posed, careful not to say too much. it wouldn’t be right ; not after what hopper’s just told her. she handwaves away the question that was posed, however, answering it with a short, cynical laugh. ❛ yeah. lonnie, huh is about right. ❜ THE WRONG CHOICE SHE’D MAKE AGAIN IF IT GAVE HER HER BOYS. ❛ he left a few years ago. ❜ 𝚂𝚃𝚁𝙰𝙽𝙶𝙴𝚁𝚂 › 𝙵𝚁𝙸𝙴𝙽𝙳𝚂 › 𝙻𝙾𝚅𝙴𝚁𝚂 › 𝚂𝚃𝚁𝙰𝙽𝙶𝙴𝚁𝚂 › 𝙳𝙸𝚅𝙾𝚁𝙲𝙴𝙴𝚂 𝙲𝙰𝚃𝙲𝙷𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝚄𝙿 𝙾𝙽 𝙼𝙸𝚂𝚂𝙴𝙳 𝚈𝙴𝙰𝚁𝚂 𝙸𝙽 𝙰 𝙱𝙰𝙲𝙺 𝙱𝙾𝙾𝚃𝙷 𝙰𝚃 𝙱𝙴𝙽𝙽𝚈’𝚂. ❛ ( . . . ) the town still talks about it, sometimes. ❜
THE BURST OF LIFE IGNITED WITHIN HER when she elaborates on her boys echoes hopper’s former feelings when people brought up his child; things have changed in that regard, & from infinite delight his own sentiments have turned to bitterness, a furious twinge in his heart, far more powerful than memory alone, NOSTALGIA EATS AT HIS CORE, burns like the pain from an old, invisible wound. she glows with the parental pride he’s witnessed in new york, the kind that tells she’s the best thing that could have happened to those two boys, jonathan & will, & it’s absolutely no surprise. IN THE CREASES AT THE CORNERS OF HER EYES, he recognizes the youthful mischief he once admired & fed so greedily, but she’s gotten wiser, mature, a slight change he suspects was inspired by the birth of her first & the joyful burden of responsibility that came with him.
❝ town’ll still be talkin about it in fifty years. ❞ a bitter chuckle, HOPPER’S PERSPECTIVE ON THE TOWN TURNED ALMOST CYNICAL where it was once little more than contempt. give these people a bone they’ll gnaw on it till they tear it into tiny little pieces, regardless of the consequences. hell, he’s taken on the job five days ago & he’s already had a garden - gnome emergency to control, courtesy of mrs. atkins & her eight cats: the things they’d say, back in new york, if they knew how low he’s stooped to for the sake of quiet. A LIGHT EXHALE OF STRONG TOBACCO as he refocuses, rests heavy eyes upon her frame, memories of days long since past resurfacing with every step he’s taken back into town, but her presence hits the hardest: she always was a little special to him. ❝ m’sorry it didn’t work out. ❞
OKAY, MAYBE HE LACKS A LITTLE CONVICTION, but he’s always thought lonnie byers was an asshole, least of all worthy of ending up with her but jim’d backed down, hadn’t he? had been shipped off across the atlantic & into the choking furnace of vietnam. last thing he wanted to see upon returning from combat was the deadly stillness of hawkins, so he’d made his way up the big city, as he always said he would. ❝ i’ve missed you, joyce. ❞ LOW VOICE CARRIES WITH AUTHENTICITY as he looks up, fingers toying with his glass. ❝ it’s insane to realize how quickly time has gone by━ ❞ how quickly he’s been robbed of his daughter. jonathan’s twelve, will’s eight. ❝ but despite all the things that’ve happened in between, i’m glad i got to see you again. ━got a picture of your kids? ❞

❛ 𝗒𝗈𝗎’𝗋𝖾 𝗅𝖾𝖺𝗏𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝖺𝗅𝗋𝖾𝖺𝖽𝗒? ❜ @elverted
SHE PLEADS & IT PULLS AT HIS HEART, a familiar twinge long buried but never forgotten, the kind he’d been seeking with every pill swallowed, every beer emptied, every camel lit. sara had a way of turning his life upside down, came in like a wrecking ball & left with an even more thunderous bang BUT SHE’S NOT SARA, JIM. 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚍𝚊𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚎𝚛’𝚜 𝚐𝚘𝚗𝚎, 𝚐𝚊𝚙 - 𝚝𝚘𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚍 𝚐𝚛𝚒𝚗, 𝚙𝚒𝚐𝚝𝚊𝚒𝚕𝚜 & 𝚊𝚕𝚕. & in her stead he’s sheltered another stray soul, much like his own. maybe they can find themselves in each other? ❝ yeah, listen, err. ❞ CIGARETTE DANGLES WITH EVERY WORD, dries chapped lips against the cold but he doesn’t mind, stuffs his hands down his pockets. ❝ i gotta go to work. you know? put food on the table. things ain’t free. ❞ he still needs to get into the concept of money, business & trade with her but she’s sharp, he can stick to bits & pieces for now. MATCH SCRATCHED & BROUGHT TO HIS CAMEL before he starts inhaling the strong, unfiltered tobacco. ❝ you remember what we said, right? keep the door closed an’ the heat on, eat lunch at twelve thirty, read your book. . . an’ remember to turn the tv on at four: they’re playin’ an old cary grant flick. the awful truth. you should like it. ❞ A FOND GAZE CAST HER WAY AS HE NOTICES THE EARLY SIGNS OF CURLS, growth of hair a welcome change from his own daughter’s final look. & hopper throws in a friendly wink. ❝ you gonna be good? ❞
