Jimin, 24, the sexiest
he gives happiness.
The Hate he gets....
I have been lurking in this fandom for a year and a few months and see the way they treat each member.
When one says, I’m tired of Jimin getting hate, people are going to tell them, “but all the boys get hate,” “they are just trolls,” “they are just dumb kids,” “they are not real army”, “stop making him a victim,” “it’s not that deep,” “it’s only a joke.” Let’s be clear, every single being gets hate on the internet, even cute babies. Months ago I saw an actress, a little girl called a c***t.
Yes, ALL the boys get their fair share of insults etc., a big part of it comes from other fandoms too. What bother me with the way Jimin is treated is that it’s normalized and most of it is from HIS OWN FANDOM. How is possible?
And every time the light is on him, it gets even worse, every time he gets accolades, it’s another opportunity to demean his accomplishments or ignore them altogether. Now people who praises him on any platform gets attacked by his own fandom.
It seems that this fandom from the beginning put Jimin in a box, as the “No jam” kid. For them he had to shine as BTS member, but not too much, let him be cute, and a good dancer, but not a great one and certainly not the best. He was not allowed to outshine anyone. He is the caretaker only. Jimin was perceived as “the not enough”: Not strong enough, not talented enough, etc.

My Jimin and I....
My partner: Are you going to leave me for Jimin?
Me: Are you out of your mind, what’s wrong with you? NO ONE deserves Jimin not even me. Why don’t you get that? He’s perfect.
I don’t have romantic feelings for Jimin, it will be too vulgar, my boy deserves only adoration lol. I just want to protect him, because he’s too precious, I love his personality, I admire his work ethic, his dedication, his motivation to get what he wants. His kindness inspires me. I’m in love with the way he dances, sings, all the little things about him. Looking at my blog I think it’s clear.
I want him to love himself, to keep doing what he likes the most, to share his talent with the world. I want him to be in love and be loved beyond measure with an individual who knows how lucky they are.
I love him like a brother, like a son.
When I grow up, I want to be Park Jimin.
BTS, seven young men and I...
It’s impossible to watch BTS, and not fall in love with those young men or appreciate their close relationship.
They are really endearing and sometimes I recognize myself in some of their traits, antics, silliness, or their uniqueness. I can be as sarcastic as Sugar, in my own world like V, be as confident as Jin about my face lol (except on pimples days), be as clumsy as RM, as joyful as Jhope, as shy as JK and I have my angel moments like JM, but unlike him I turn into a demon when someone tries to steal my food.
Yes, Jimin is my favourite but all the others are second. I find their hard work inspiring. I doubt I would be able to work as hard as they do without turning into a gorgon. And they do it time after time, practising, trying to improve, to do better etc.
One of the things I admire the most about them is the way they are handling fame. It’s not easy to be at their level, and remain enthusiastic and humble, I love that about them. And their smiles hide a lot of struggles. I have so much respect and compassion for them, because life is already not easy and being as famous as they are comes with many hardships and bring a level of anxiety that some people in this fandom ignore or don’t understand. It’s not about throwing them a pity party, but recognizing this particular aspect of their life and the consequences it has on their life and their mental health.
It makes me bloody furious when some people in this fandom say, but they chose it, they knew what they were getting. NO THEY DIDN’T, nobody knows the price they have to pay, and the sacrifice they will need to make until they get there. It’s not possible to see beforehand, how famous you will get and if you will be able to handle it. There are no courses, no alternate reality where one can try the “celebrity life.” And watching other famous people is not going to help, it’s like eating by watching other people do so.

what do you mean by pjm?
Q: what do you mean by pjm?
A: a pjm is simply a jimin fan. fans of jimin call ourselves pjms.
—-
Q: if you are a pjm, does that mean you are not army?
A: Not necessarily. Pjm and army are like army and multi-fandom. So you can be a pjm and an army if that’s your preference, just like you can stan bts and also other boy/girl groups, or other artists that’s not kpop. It’s your own life and choices, so of course you can stan whoever you want.
—-
Q: If you are a pjm, does that mean you dislike other bts members?
A: Of course not. That’s like saying ‘if you are Army, then you dislike other kpop groups or other artists.’ Both statements are not true.
—-
Q: I feel uncomfortable about pjms calling themselves pjms, why not just say army?
A: 1) coz a lot of hate and shading towards Jimin and jimin fans comes from Army, so some jimin fans no longer want to be associated with that fandom in any way; 2) whether a person chooses to support one member or a group or several groups is their own business and not up to others to decide; 3) don’t other member’s stans have their own name too, why you bothered by pjms only?
—-
Q: what does a pjm do?
A: love jimin and support jimin, give him the time and money we can spare and feel like spending on him, coz we love his work and him, and want to see him succeed his dreams.
————
Unlike how Army and ‘ot7s’ wishes to demonise pjms, pjms in fact DON’T bother wasting time hating on other members or artists. We’d rather spend the time to stream jimin’s music or spam him with compliments on twitter, youtube and other platforms.
People who hate on other members to promote their favs are called akgaes, and all members, groups, artists have akgaes. Stop always trying to point fingers at pjms for your own biased agenda.
Let’s discuss
so… i still don’t think i am a part of the fandom. I support bts and consume their music and contents simply coz i like them as artists. And what keeps me interested in bts is really Jimin. (#jimin_is_a_living_work_of_art)
I feel the fandom tend to down play jimin’s achievements, while at the same time, make very inappropriate tweets/comments about him and call it a joke if pjms call them out. Like this getting 22K+ likes, and many ‘army’ replying with videos showing them actually shouting ‘b*tch’ to jimin when he is performing, and more asking to make the ‘fan chant’ official.
This behaviour from ‘army’, for many many many months now, disgusts me. I discovered this trend since late 2017 when i got interested in BTS. So I will never consider myself an army, coz I will NOT want to be associated with a group that normalises shading jimin for amusement in any way.
Fandom now developed a trend to attack anyone who defends jimin as solo stans, and even try to forbid Jimin stans to call themselves pjms.
So… does this fandom behaviour/pressure bother my fellow pjms?
I personally don’t care if any one calls me a solo stan for defending jimin. I will defend him, as he is an angel that’s only shown the fandom love and respect and thus deserves nothing less in return.
Also, i don’t believe what solo stans are even a bad thing. What’s wrong with only being interested in one member? There are no rules to being a fan girl or a fan boy as long as one is a decent human being, i.e., always be respectful and not hate on anyone.
I choose to focus on defending jimin simply because he receives so much random hate from his own fandom that i don’t have time to pay attention to any other member… i.e., i became a ‘solo’ stan, coz fandom is NOT ‘ot7’.
send me asks and let me know what’s your experiences or views on the subject?
solo, akgae, ot7...
I am gonna poke the hornets’ nest. Let me see if I can make this easy to understand:
solo stan =/= akgae
akgae fans are those who only like one member AND constantly send hate or make up rumours to do damage to other members.
solo stans are those who only love and support one member, and ignore most of the other members. They help with streaming and album sales and all other group projects (as their fav is one part of the group) and are neutral to the other members.
akgaes are toxic. solo stans are NOT toxic.
——-
don’t stan =/= don’t respect
fans are free to like/support any number of members they want to like/support, as long as they are decent human beings, and do not send hate to other members or fans, respect everyone, then WHO THEY LIKE IS THEIR OWN PREFERENCE AND CHOICE.
think of BTS as a huge fruit salad, some of you like all seven kinds of fruits, some only likes one, or two, or five… what one choose to eat or like to eat from that fruit salad is none of anyone else’s business. So stop shoving “we must love all seven members the same” down everyone’s throat. It’s offensive and disrespectful. Let each fan make their own choices and preferences.
BTS’s seven members each have to earn the fans’ love, trust and respect. They don’t and shouldn’t automatically get support from fans just because they are a member of BTS. It’s wrong to try and force this idea onto new fans, so back off. As long as the new fans respect all members, that should be good enough.
———–
unproblematic solo stans >>>>>> fake OT7s
Quit claiming you are an OT7 if you do not treat and love and support each boy the same. In the fandom, the way that hate is systematically directed at Jimin is sickening, and a lot of it are from supposed OT7 fans. (I know all the boys gets hate, but please don’t tell me you don’t see that the hate directed at Jimin is disproportionate.)
Just today, some PJMs wanted to tweet under a hashtag #OurLovelyJimin to show him love and support, coz he has been getting a lot of hate this week. (just ONE example. A tweet making a “joke” about shoving a middle school Jimin into a locker gets 18K likes, and when called out, gets a lot of fans defending them.)
PJMs started to tweet with the tag, then a lot of supposed OT7s come and say “why are you trending a project for Jimin? what did he do? there is literally no reason for this”, as if him getting hate is not a good enough reason, OR that a reason is even needed at all for Jimin stans to send love to Jimin… The whole mindset is just so twisted, wrong and sickening.
Let people do what they want to do for their idol. If you are jealous, go and do something nice for your own fav instead of being salty and bully PJMs.
Also, Jimin stans should STOP being apologetic about liking, supporting, or defending Jimin. Stop letting people using the “OT7” “solo stan” tags to bully you into ignoring the hate directed to Jimin.
Hypocrisy is an ugly look on anyone and everyone. Just stop.
Bringing this back. Wrote this long ago, but still relevant.
There is this ‘ot7’ translation account today, that claimed, to sum up, that they don’t like to translate Jimin’s articles coz pjms tend to criticise BH, and that most of Jimin’s articles are ‘click-baits’ so people should just use auto translate…
sigh~~~ think this is getting more and more relevant. so bringing it back again.
I'm sorry but I want to talk
All I ever want is for Jimin to dance, sing and do everything he wants for the rest of his life. For that I wish he is hail and healthy.
But as a fan now, do you know what I want? I want him to be alive and be happy. When did it get to this? It hurts to see him in pain when he performs and I can never see Fake Love the same way anymore.
When he keeps hiding his pain with laughters, it makes me think what kind of a monster I am as an audience and a fan for wanting so much of him.
BigHit, this is for you.
I don't want a comeback which kills his vacation. I don't want a bangtan bomb which kills his privacy. I don't want a movie of them telling me that their bodies are falling apart. I don't want a concert of which the backstage has them collapsing of exhaustion or crying out of pain.
As a fan now, all I wish is in between all of this laughs and jokes which he does, I hope he is genuinely happy at least for a second.
A family bound by a legal contract...
What BH managed to do with BTS is really admirable. No one can take that away from them, with little means, they managed to take their group to the top. Their approach was authentic, fresh and clever. They also relied on their members tastes, opinions, skills etc. more than we can imagine. They could have pulled the plug on the group several times, when they were lacking funds, good press, etc. But they didn’t, look at how many groups didn’t manage to make it to the top,and some had more funds than BTS. What I liked is the fact that they put music first, it was what matter the most, at the time.
And what BH was selling from the start was: we are not like other companies, we are close to our artists, they matter, we are a family, it’s all about trust.
I remember hearing one of super Junior’s members say about the group “we are brothers bound by a legal contract.” I don’t remember who said it, but it shows exactly what BH want people to forget, they are a family yet bound by a strong legal contract.
Human beings are complicated, it doesn’t mean that Bang PD hate BTS, but think of a relationship based on a contract. Even if BTS love their boss, that contract is there. That relationship will be/can only be a lot more complicated than a simple “we are family.” It will be completely naive to believe that it’s that simple. Also human beings tend to destroy what/who they love.
BH has the power over BTS, the power to compel them to do what they see fit career wise. So what are we to believe? That BH uses that power wisely? That they never made/make mistakes, that they never abused/abuse that power. Talking about family, a father, a mother who love their child can be authoritative, mean and cruel, thinking they do what best for their child, their family.

I hope Jimin is having some time off of rehearsals, shoot and enjoying it.
I love you, you cute little thing. ❤
Sometimes I feel Jungkook is Joey, if he shares his food then you’re really special to him.
