âI donât know, I wish I was a good swimmer. I mean, I used to be better when i was younger-,â she explained to the other before shaking her head. âWell, too bad its too cold right now though. What else do you like to do in your free time?â

âYou know what you should do- dye your hair!â Jinah suggested, followed by a few nods as if to cement how right she was. âI mean, your hair is beautiful as it is but imagine something really cool like a red or even just a soft brown... Iâve been brown and black haired for months now and Iâd love to dye it blonde again. Besides, it grows back, you know? So why not!â

âYou can be honest with me,â she told the other. Though she did have sensitive feelings, she could take it when she needed to. âDoes this dress make me look fat?â she pouted, uncertain if she had chosen the right outfit for their outing. It fit her in awkward ways and it showed, bulging certain areas instead of flattering her shape. âIs it really that bad?â

âI think some people are just naturally aggressive, you know? Like they were born with this kinda anger in them... But at the same time, I think everyoneâs got a little bit of anger inside of them. Itâs just natural,â she told the other, her finger lazily mixing the milk in her coffee. âI didnât want to fight with him but he just kept pushing and you can only be so nice, you know?â

âDude, dude, heâs totally staring at you!â Jinah let out a girlish squeal and shook her head in disbelief as the handsome manager was caught staring at her friend. âOh my god, heâs so shameless- what should we do?â she giggled, trying to hide her own excitement.

âI guess itâs easy to think certain things about someone before youâve met them- like celebrities and stuff,â she said, nodding a few times. âI think some people think Iâm pretty... flirtatious?â raising her eyebrow in thought, she remembered the hurtful comments she had been subjected to during her time on some variety shows. âI think whatâs important for people is to disassociate what you see on screen with the person you meet in real life.â

âI like the sugar,â Jinah said with a soft and gentle pout forming on her face. She was always a bit of a sweet tooth, despite her often intense and unfair work out sessions and dietary plans. But when she had time, she enjoyed the sugar in her coffee more than most. âDieting sucks,â she told the other, placing the cup of black coffee on the table. âItâs for my movie so I know itâll be a worthy sacrifice, though,â she explained.
Anonymously or not, ask me something youâve always wondered.

The momentarily awkwardness disappeared, the tension releasing like air from a balloon. Meeting someone was always an awkward experience- why would she assume that this would be anything different? With her trademark grin and that sparkle in her eye, she extended her hand, âIâm Jinah!â

Jinahâs thin fingers circled around the cocktail glass. Itâs cool hard surface against her soft skin was unusual but welcome. Turning to the person beside her, she attempted bar room conversation. âAh, donât try that one-,â she said as the waiter tried to sell the other one of their weaker drinks. âThis one,â she pointed at the menu with a smile, âTrust me.â
