@jjoycesuggestions
This is why I have earplugs.
Suggestion: dead inside? music helps :)
Suggestion: dead outside? screaming helps :)
Some ghosts prefer the silence to have their existential crisis around here, Sarah.
Yes, no screaming please. Some of us still have work to do.
Keep as much possible of yourself a secret as long as you can as you observe others and learn as much about them as possible.
Watch out, the new guy might steal Ivan from you.
Ivan and I aren’t an official pair. He may consider us friends but that’s the extent of it.
Besides, it’s not like I really care if he stops coming around or anything. Honestly if he didn’t it would increase my productivity. I mean he’s one of only a few people who actually bother coming around yes, but that doesn’t mean anything. It’s not like I care. Because I don’t.
Anyways, he’s an adult. He can make whatever decisions he wants. He doesn’t need my opinion on anything, nor has he asked for me to give it. Now if you excuse me I think I need to check my knives. They’ve been in storage for a while and might need to be sharpened. You know, in case I find a use for them in the future.Best to go bother someone else with your gossip about Ivan.
You speak as if us being friends is purely one-sided. Don’t you consider me a friend too?
I suppose I have to. After all we do see each other a bit more than what can be considered reasonable for simply acquaintances, even if it is just because you keep looking in through my window.
You have a nice desk! I’ve been wondering what it’s made of for quite some time now.
Its Mahogany, I would have thought that would have been obvious by the color. Also are you sure it’s only the wood that has your interest, I catch you staring higher than the desk an awful lot.
Well, you have nice… walls too. They’re a lovely shade of white.
…….Alright the desk is one thing, but I cannot believe that you actually find the walls interesting. What is it that you really find so fascinating in my office?
Well, recently, Master’s been out and about and even I don’t know where he’s been, so my schedule’s been… nonexistent. And let’s just say there’s this very nice-looking man that works for the Guild who is both handsome of face and of character, and let’s just say I’ve been meaning to ask him out to dinner, but I don’t know how, and let’s just say that I thought staring at him and hoping he gets the idea would be a, uh, good idea?
For future reference, generally words convey intentions a bit better than simply staring through a window, as there is less room for error in interpretation.
However your intentions got through well enough this time, and provided you actually asked with words I’d imagine that this man you speak of might even say yes to your invitation.
You will!? I mean, you think so? I guess I better ask him, then.
James, would you be interested in accompanying me to dinner? Just the two of us?
Since you asked so nicely I suppose it would be rude to turn you down, and my schedule has been rather open lately. Therefore, yes Ivan I suppose I shall accept your invitation to dinner.

Something much more valuable than you.
Ah, so you’re the new face that everyone seems to be talking about today. I suppose it was only a matter of time before we became acquainted. I am James Joyce, Secretary of the Guild.
I’d say it’s lovely to meet you but I have yet to find out if we’ll be on good terms or not. Either way, I’m Shibusawa Tatsuhiko.
I’d really prefer not to make an enemy, but I suppose it is as you said, only time will tell how things turn out.

Your dedication towards Yumeno, even if you are a bit easily riled up.
Could this be @annie-lockhardt? I surely do have a predilection for Yumeno, but so far I haven’t been as easily riled up as you say. Although people do tend to see me as more aggressive and menacing than I actually am, but way less than I could be.
You seemed get rather riled the last time I spoke with you. Or is that level of pettiness just your natural state?
Oh dear, so that was you? How curious… Did I seem that riled up to you? You could be less observant than I initially thought then. No wonder things are like that for you. I’d guess a man who spends too much time around papers would eventually lose all their intuition. Tsc, tsc… We were merely having a polite conversation. You wouldn’t be able to handle if I ever were riled up, my dear.
You can deny it all you want but I think we both know I got under your skin a bit more than you’d like to admit. Don’t think I didn’t notice when you finally started ignoring me after all. Hit a bit too close to home did I Gide?
And You can think what you’d like about my level of observance. If you want to underestimate me just because I have a good handle on my emotions, then by all means. It just makes things easier for me. As for me not being able to handle you riled up, you don’t know even remotely what I’m capable of handling, nor what I can respond with.
You really do think you are interesting enough to get under my skin, don’t you? That’s such an assumption, my dear. But if you want to live in a delusional state, I won’t stop you. And to ignore you? Have you considered I didn’t really have other things to do? Pfft, of course you did commit that mistake. You don’t really go out anyway, so how could you understand?
But oh, dear secretary. You do love to talk about your skills and still I haven’t seen them in practice. One would think that if you were that capable I would’ve heard about you already. Yet I didn’t. I wonder why…
You think that silence wasn’t intentional? I do my best not to be noticed and talked about. I don’t need fame to prove my worth, my name passes only through the circles that it needed to. Circles that you weren’t part of. Not to mention the Guild itself is practically a myth to begin with, Why attract attention I don’t need, it just makes my job harder after all.
Besides, what makes you so special that makes you think you’ve heard about everyone? You and I operated in different circles of people, and you’re only one person. A bit insignificant compared to the over all wouldn’t you say?
Oh, but that’s were you’re wrong, dear little secretary. That’s where you’re deeply wrong. You and I share this cursed existence, I’d think you would know better than anyone how far we can both go like this. I saw and heard more than you would ever imagine, playing with your papers all day. I know more than you could even guess. Once again, that just proves how unimaginative you are. Mhm, but if you want me to admit it so much, then very well; your talent is undeniable, although it may lie not where you claim but somewhere else. Enjoy this moment, because it won’t happen again.
Papers. Papers. You prattle on so much about the papers. As much as you try to frame it as such, I don’t find it to be an insult. being educated and possessing the skill of the written word is a simply a different knowledge, and one I value highly.
I have seen more than my fair share of blood and horror, just as you have, simply in different situations. I may wish I hadn’t of course, but then again life isn’t exactly known for dealing many a fair hand. We are indeed, as you say, cursed. Though in our cases perhaps we deserve it.
Bothered by the image I have of you? Then show me something a bit more exciting than your boring little office. Or maybe don’t. You don’t have to prove anything to me now, do you?
I must agree with your views, except that deserving has nothing to do with what we get or not. We are cursed, for what reason? Who knows. We just are.
I feel no need, no. Why, is there something you’d like me to prove?
Perhaps if there were more like us that we knew we could better guess a cause. Then again, perhaps it was merely something like a coin flip that landed against us. I suppose it doesn’t matter though, it’s not as though we can change it. Being dead and all.
For a man so bland, you don't hold back punches at all, do you? I wonder if you can bite as much as you can bark.
I’m going to go with @andregidesuggestions, considering no one else has yet spoken like that to my face.
Perhaps I’ll join you in finding a way to kill a ghost, then you could have the chance to experience my bite first hand.
Oh, dear. It’s almost as if I am the one getting under your skin now, doesn’t it? I wait impatiently for the moment I get to witness you in action at last.
Mildly annoyed at best really, I have rather thick skin courtesy of Mr. Fitzgerald and Ivan.
Though I suppose I’ll admit I’m rather interested in seeing you in action first hand as well. I suppose we’ll both have to increase our efforts to make it happen, now won’t we?
