Day 5 - AU of @jlaireweek. I decided to do a classic Beauty and the Beast AU, because it is perfect for them. Instead of a rose I thought the amulet would be a better replacement.

If someone hurt Claire, Jim would overreact, despite on little the injury was. He can’t control himself. I like to think he would explode in red like in the gunmar/anger rot fight.

I attempted to imitate Caravaggio’s chiaroscuro style, but I don’t think it works too well when the clothes of your subjects are supposed to glow…

And boy, oh boy, did this take too long…

Day Three - Falling Star for @jlaireweek!!

I like to imagine that on their way or at the new hearthstone Merlin helps Claire with her magic potential. Since she lost her shadow staff. The first thing she wanted to learn was to fly/float around. Merlin called this technique the ‘Falling Star’. Not exactly flying, but more like a leap into the air and then falling toward the ground at whatever speed she wanted to. Jim is so proud.

There’s peace in this I can’t explain

Even though our world is burning

With your hand in mine I can’t quite comprehend

Just how quickly we’re all spinning,

    ‘Cause, Claire

                    I 

                                 Swear,

                                                       No

                                                                   Matter

                                                           How

                                           Fast

                         We’re 

     Moving,

My thoughts are ten times faster

So hold me tight, hold me close

I’m Icarus, and you’re the Sun

And when this world spins out of control

The Stars will welcome us home again

Until then I’ll wait for the Sun to explode,

For Daylight cannot be ours forever

Then, finally, I may rest among the stars

Set deep within your eyes

Never again will I simply gaze at a universe within reach.
