āFor all of eternity, the moon and sun have chased each other around the world. Long into the future, they will continue this chase, merging the days into months into years into centuries, until the day the sun cannot take the separation any longer and she shatters, engulfing the moon and everything else in a burst of light.ā
Just to finish up the collection of Escanor watching over little Gawain as she sleeps
As to why Merlin has left Camelot, she might have left to protect her little one from the prophecy.
To guard and train her for the future to come.
To give a little time with her family. With the ones who love her the most: her parents.
Maybe the lion and boar wanted to savor whatever time they could get with their baby Gawain

(I hope this can inspire someone to do a small story about them since I canāt seem to be able to think of something to write here)
The Sun and the Moon incarnated. The lovers who were never meant to be, still find each other every once in a millennia.
And this time, upon seeing the fruit of their love, the face of their eclipse, nothing could ever hope to be so whole. On that blessed day, the lovers were gifted a token to mark such an especial occasion.
As he vowed, he would indeed remain forever be by her side and upon his return be gifted one of her rarest smilesā¦
āSo what should we name the baby?ā Escanor asked and continued on āI like Morgan for a girl, but I canāt think of a name for a boy. Any suggestions?ā
Merlin took a moment to think and gave her reply āI think Lionell would be fit for a little lionā
They smiled at each other knowing that no matter what the future holds for them, they would be happy. Finally.
Thereās a story, you see, of an ancient love - told by many, seen by few. It is a tragic story really about a love that was never meant to be and doomed to remain so for all of eternity. Though Fate, it would seem, is not without mercy and it bent our loversā destiny for their sorrow was great enough to swallow the universe and a beacon of hope could be its salvation.
It is said that the Sun and the Moon are impossible lovers. He was forged in light, built with a raw and bruit strength - warm; while She was made to glow and veil the lands with her darkness, mysterious and cunning - cold. He ached for her cool hands to calm him, to bring him solace; She longed for his warm embrace to guard and soothe her. They each see the light they so desperately need in one another - the soft glow, the brute light.
Still night and day must exist, and for that they must stay apart. Every once in a millennia the lovers are allowed to cast their souls upon the Earth and marvel in their mirrored images the possibility of what they could never have up in the eternal skies. They are allowed to cross, and they give birth to the fruit of said love, and the world stares in awe of their eclipse.
