you see the thing about dark rise is that you'd think that the guy who's the reincarnation of the dark king and the guy who's the reincarnation of his general would be instrumental in the plot but mostly they just spend their time doing alarmingly undernegotiated dom/sub roleplay at each other. so maybe after that you'd think out of the two magic knights one of them would be the instrumental champion. and they are better but both of them are a little constrained by the plot and also their brother issues. the person actually doing the most to stop the apocalypse is a 7-year-old girl
