A triptych of Lovecraftian proportions!
A few recent pieces.
Flyer for the second POP! Comedy Showcase!
“Breakthrough” Speed paint I did last week. ...I think? I did it, that’s the important part.
Look! A Facebook cover photo, website promotional image, and full poster for Let There Be Tight, the newest craze to rock the Minneapolis comedy scene!
Kindred Spirits Comedy Spectacular #2!
Another poster for The WiP Theater-- this time for the one and only Felonious Munk!
“Feeling Blue” Speed paint for tonight. Huzzah!
Here’s a few things I’ve done recently. Aren’t they neat? Or even, neat-O?
The time, it flies! I did this speed paint a little while ago. Still pumping out some artwork for the upcoming card game “Casting” and hoping that I’ll be able to share some of it with you all soon!
Quick sketch tonight.
Here’s another speed paint a did a few nights ago. Lately I’ve been enjoying making somewhat Lovecraftian monsters, and after finally watching Pacific Rim last week, this one managed to have a little Kami influence in it as well. Also, I’m sure the man on the cliff there is luring the monster in with a donut.
Tonight's speed paint. What you can't see is the ice cream cone just out of frame.
No word on whether or not it tastes like donuts.
Another speed paint tonight, just for fun. She probably doesn’t like donuts as much as the other guy.
In the midst of a lot of projects right now, all of which I can’t reveal just yet. But I did manage to find time to speed paint this thing last night. I’ll bet it likes donuts.
"Wahpocalypse, Part II"
So, I just finalized this pic with the fabulously funny Matt Novotny, and I'm absolutely in love with this-- let me give some background:
Last year, Matt asked me to make a flyer for a show he was putting on in his hometown of Wahpeton ND. He didn't have any notes for what to put on the poster, only that it include the Video Action store that his family used to manage, in some regard. The piece I came up with is the one above with the fighting kaiju amidst the burning town and destroyed Video Action building, throw all the way to the city limits.
This year, he came back and said something to the effect of, "Let's make this poster a continuation of the story-- let's highlight another Wahpeton landmark, and see what happens after the monster attack." My contribution to this is the new pic with the "S" building and the title "Wahpocalypse." He's clearly the brains behind the operation.
So here you are. Where will the apocalyptic world of Wahpeton be by the time the next flyer rolls around? Stay tuned to find out!

Based on a sketch I was a part of for last year's CoreCon. Hail Snakes!
