I should’ve felt honored—being inducted into the Texas Football Hall of Fame was supposed to be a career-defining moment. My photo was going up alongside legends, lining the stadium walls in massive, billboard-sized glory. But while everyone else got a proud, forward-facing shot with their name and position displayed, mine was… different. They chose a photo of me mid-huddle, back to the camera, in our burnt orange jersey and those infamous white pants. Problem was, the pants were soaked through with sweat, stretched skin-tight and just sheer enough to show my jockstrap in perfect detail—those leg bands curving around my ass and disappearing between my legs like a smug little smile. Above it, in bold letters: “The Most Prolific Tight End in Texas Football.” Whether it was a clever nod to my position or just a cruel joke, my ass was now immortalized for thousands of fans to admire—for all eternity.
