Its sleekly designed products add a high tech consumer benefit that has attracted a devoted customer base. But behind the products are hours upon hours of testing. The mirror seen seen here is optimized for applying makeup with 5x magnification and is also equipped with a Bluetooth speaker that needed 21 iterations of sound profiling. While its voice-activated trash cans are subjected to hours of sonic pummeling, opening and closing every 10 seconds to test its voice-recognition reliability.
