Christian has been gone for the last couple weeks because of back to back road series. You both have been FaceTiming when you both had the time to. The last time you both had sex was the night before he left. Neither one of you wanted to have phone sex. You both wanted to wait until he was home to do it. These last couple weeks feels like it’s been a month or so. The team had the day off tomorrow so they were flying home right after the game. You couldn’t wait to have him back home and in your arms. He FaceTimed you before the game started early this afternoon.

God you love that man. You turned the game on when it was time and sat on the couch watching it. The series they were playing was a west coast series so you figured it’d be a few hours until he was home in Cincinnati so you put something in the slow cooker for dinner. “No. Should have about an hour left.” You said.

You and Christian became friends when he got traded to the Reds from the Twins. One of his buddies is getting married and he didn’t have someone to go with him. He’s been debating about asking you. He’s had a crush on you for a while now and was afraid of rejection. About a couple weeks before the wedding Christian took you out to lunch since you both had the day off.
“Can I ask you something?” He asked you nervously.
“Of course. Whats up?” You say.
“One of my buddies is getting married in a couple weeks and I was wondering if you’d go with me?” He asked.
“I’d love to go with you.” You said.
“Really?” He said excitedly.
“Yes really.” You said giggling.
After lunch, you both went out shopping to get things for the wedding. You were trying on dresses to see how they looked before purchasing it. You found one you really liked so you got it.
A couple weeks had gone by and today is the day Christian’s friend is getting married. Christian came to your place to get ready there and you both would leave from there. By the time you both were ready it was time for you guys to leave. Christian was already downstairs waiting on you when you were done. Christian looked up at you when you were coming down the steps. There was so much love in his eyes when he saw how beautiful you looked.
“Wow. You look absolutely beautiful.” He said.
“Thank you. You look very handsome.” You said lovingly.
“Thank you.” He said smiling.
“You’re welcome. Let’s get going or we’ll be late.” You said.
You put your sandals on and you both headed out the door. He drove you both to the wedding which wasn’t too far from where you live. The set up looked beautiful and the ceremony was amazing. You both had an amazing time at the reception. You both had been there for several hours and decided to leave. You both congratulated the couple and said your goodbyes before leaving.
“Want to go for a walk since it’s so nice out?” He asked.
“Sure.” You said.
You both leave to take a walk through Cincinnati. You both came up to a park and walked through it.
“Can I talk to you about something?” He asked nervously.
“Of course. Whats up?” You said.
He stopped in his tracks. You noticed he stopped so you did too and stood in front of him.
“Listen, I’ve liked you for quite some time now. Like really like you. I’m actually very lucky and happy you came with me tonight to this wedding. I’m thankful to have you in my life and you mean so much to me. Will you be my girlfriend?” He said.
“Yes. I’ve liked you a lot for a while too.” You said tearing up while giggling.
His eyes lit up. He leaned down and you both kissed.
“I love you.” He said smiling.
“I love you too.” You said smiling back.
You really love this man and know he’s the one you’re going to spend the rest of your life with. You both walked back to his car and went back to his house. He gave you clothes to sleep in and washed your make up off. It was late and you both were tired. You both curled up in bed and went to sleep.
