A little doodle of a headcanon I've been thinking about too much lately. J and Arthur escaping together from their abusive home and making their way to California 🥺

Arthur and J would be the bestest friends although being massively different. J would teach Arthur all the knacks of street living he knows and Arthur would teach J to smile through it all and make him laugh in the darkest of moments, lighting up his dark and chaotic worldview.

I imagine J would go to extreme lengths to pull Arthur out of the claws of Penny and her boyfriend and Arthur would cry for days, feeling guilty for having left them, although they always treated him badly.

The first moment of real peace would be the two of them sitting on a roof in California, watching the sunset, eating stolen Ice cream and realizing that they can conquer anything life throws their way in the future, as long as they stayed together.
