It’s probably pretty obvious if you look at post dates, but I haven’t been active on this particular blog in a long time. I still get the occasional random follow, though, no doubt mostly from people who read ‘One Wish’, so I figured I’d make a post.

how old were you when you started writing one wish? even your old writing is really good and if you did it while you were younger like me itd give me a boost of confidence for my writinf

Unfortunately, I definitely didn’t qualify as ‘young’, especially by fandom standards, when I started One Wish. That was 2015, so I was... 26? Something like that lol. For a frame of reference, my oldest fic (only posted on FFN) is ‘Got your heart in a headlock’, and I started it in 2006 when I was 17.

That said, I personally don’t think that age has all that much impact on one’s skill as a writer beyond older writers just have the opportunity to have been at it longer. They’re also, statistically speaking, more like to have been through some shit, which enables them to write more from experience, but even that can vary wildly between individuals.

At the end of the day, like anything, how ‘good’ you are at writing comes down to practice. You have to write and write and then write some more to improve, so even when you’re feeling down on yourself, or like you’re no good, the only thing to do is to keep going. Improving your writing is a never ending journey, and even the literary greats feel like their work isn’t good enough, or could be improved in some way. It’s the great curse of being a creative type XD

I actually wrote an entire list of writing advice if you’re interested in hearing a bit more on the subject from yours truly. I don’t actually use this blog anymore, but I’m very active over at my art and writing blog @cryptid-jack !

Do you have plans to eventually complete One Wish?

Plans? Not particularly, no. I mean, I would like to, but I’m so far out of the Fairy Tail fandom I’m not sure if I ever actually will. I feel like my writing has really grown since then, too, so I’m not sure I could bring myself to. If I did, I’d probably go through and heavily edit the entire rest of the fic, first 8′D

Summary: Skeleton monster and inheritor of her family’s ancestral mountain home, Arial thought things would be easier after she finally won the prolonged legal battle against her aunt and uncle for control of the property. Spoiler alert: they weren’t. Not only was the manor in a terrible state of disrepair, but when she was finally able to visit the place for the first time, she found a pair of suspicious human brothers squatting in it. Despite humanity having returned to the surface from the Underground over a year ago, Arial had never had a chance to get close to one before… but after an accident with the strange machine the men were keeping in the basement, she suddenly found herself with a whole manor full of them, with some being more interested in getting to know her than others…

AN:  Welcome to the temporary final chapter! I definitely plan to write more of this, but I’ll be taking a break to work on some other stuff for awhile before coming back to it eventually. Please don’t ask for updates, they’ll come when they come and asking only makes me work slower. These two are friggin adorable, please just let me live.

I have a personal headcanon that HA is actually a post secondary school, like a tech school where people can train to become heroes and get licensed at the end of the course. Honestly, I just feel like that makes more sense than a fully integrated high school because holy crap regular school already takes up so much time let alone intense physical training and learning all the legal stuff of being a hero. Like, I’m just not convinced there’s enough hours in the day. Plus, you know, everyone would be over 18 so I wouldn’t have to feel awkward about shipping 15 year olds 8′D

So, yes, here’s my college age Izuku and Shoto, enjoy!

As I specifically mentioned in the author’s notes on that fic, it’s not something I’ll be updating on a schedule, just something that I’ll work on when I’m able/inspired. I want to continue it, but it is low on the priority list compared to my other long standing fics and original projects.

TL;DR - yeah, eventually, lol. No promises on when, and any requests for updates on it will probably wind up with it getting bumped down to the bottom spot on my priority list because my muse is spiteful like that XD

Hiya! I've read a ton of your stories on fanfiction and I absolutely ADORE your writing style. I just started watching the show Voltron (it's on Netflix) and have already started to ship a ton of the characters. I was wondering, if you ever start looking for a new subject for your stories, if you might write something about them? I haven't found any writers that I enjoy quite as much as you, and I thought I'd ask. Also, LOVE the HTTYD fanfic :) Thank you!!!

I’m actually a huge fan of Voltron (super stoked for the new season!), but it’s not really the kind of series I ever see myself writing fic for. I generally only write stuff for series/games/etc that have ended and I need more (like Undertale), have a lot of promise that they don’t quite deliver on (like Fairy Tail), or just straight up don’t exist (my HTTYD/Brave crossover XD). Thus far, Voltron doesn’t fall into any of those categories.

I mean, I guess that could change, but I generally know the kind of stuff that will get me into a writing mood for a fandom, and Voltron checks none of the boxes, so unless something SUPER CRAZY happens, I guess, I would not hold your breath 8′D

that and undertale owns my fucking soul i’ve got so much stuff planned to write for that you have no idea ahahaha goddamn these freaking skeletons

I’m not currently working on it, no. I want to get back to it eventually, but I can’t say when that will be, sorry! Just gotta wait for that HTTYD bug to get me again, heh.

2017 Art Summary!

Wow I only did one big non-undertale related pic this year 8′D I mean if nothing else I think I definitely got better at drawing skeletons… *breaks out in a cold sweat* This was definitely one of my more productive years on record in any case.
