Repeal the 12th amendment
A lasting consequence of Burr's role in the election of 1800 was the Twelfth Amendment to the United States Constitution, which changed the way in which vice presidents were chosen. As was obvious from the 1800 election, the situation could easily arise where the vice president, as the defeated presidential candidate, could not work well with the president. The Twelfth Amendment required that votes be cast separately for president and vice president.[78] He is remembered mainly for the duel with Hamilton. However, his establishment of guides and rules for the first impeachment trial set a high bar for behavior and procedures in the Senate chamber, many of which are followed today.[79] I feel the Vice President should be the person that comes in second place.

Alcoholism theory
Thesis: “Children of alcoholics are more likely to become alcoholics than are children of non alcoholics.” “More alcoholics than non alcoholics reported having at least one alcoholic parent.” Jim M I believe that Alcoholism is more prevalent in individuals in which the environment was a breeding ground for Alcoholism. In most cases where there is an Alcoholic parent, children have to deal with not getting enough “love” from their parents in the form of healthy touch or being positive role models for the children to see. Monkey see monkey do. They learn that alcohol is a direct coping mechanism for dealing with there problems. I believe that trait for Alcoholism is stronger in the parents of those who's children later go on to become alcoholics but it is not the contributing factor. The environment factor is the main contributing factor. Alcoholism is more prevalent in certain ethnicities. It's not as common with asians as well as Jews. Learned behaviors can mimic the disease model which is referenced in the DSM. The truth is that they are learned behaviors. I am a drug addict. Why, because my environment did not provide the tools necessary to cope with life. My parents were hippies they smoked a little weed but they were never hardcore addicts. My mom was a sexual compulsive and my dad suffered from bi polar and chronic depression. I knew from a young age that I was flawed and something was wrong. I became part of the billion dollar industry on anti depressants and medications that could treat whatever psychiatric diagnosis matched the behaviors of the individual. I learned how to nurture myself through using drugs. They became my coping mechanism to feel safe in a turbulent world. I tried alcohol when I was 12 but never could get the affect I desired. I started taking pain killers when I was 15. What 15 year old feels so bad that they have to riffle through their parents medicine cabinet and start popping pills. Opiates were my solution to life. Hydrocodone and perfect bliss would follow for a short time only to return back to my ugly insides. I was in Israel for 2 weeks touring the country on a trip called Tagalit or birth right Israel. I did not have any drugs. I just drank every night because that was all that there was. I enjoyed it and had lots of fun but I was still escaping reality in the holiest of hollies. I touched the western wall. I took a picture of the library In the bottom left hand corner of the wall. A story for about her day. My body does not break down sugar the same as other persons. I believe that a standard person breaks alcohol down at one shot per hour. I don't get the euphoria that other problem drinkers may get but that's not important this is not my original paper. I'll try to salvage what I can. There is a sequence in the genetic code that is part of the fight or flight response. Tools that are effective like alcohol gets encoded into the DNA and passed on in some cases to our children but not always. My environment i was raised is why I'm a drug addict. I don't have a disease. I'm not fundamentally different from my fellows I just learned how to cope differently. I think AA is a good program when worked honestly. The problem is fear predominates the very foundation that your life is built on. Fear of going back out, fear of losing what you have, fear of being ostracized by your peers. Alcoholics Anonymous is not governed by laws rather traditions and steps. All we have in this life is our name. Once that is tarnished your screwed I know because it happened to me. I could not stay sober longer than a year I almost got 2 once but I always kept coming back. I felt like I was a bad guy for relapsing. Like it was some big letdown it's what I do. But I lost jobs, friendships and relationships because I did not want to adhere to the AA program. I would not recommend AA for a congressman, judge, attorney, senator or anyone in a position of power. Sponsors are not bound by confidentiality laws. If they were it would be a different story. Be careful who you share your most intimate secrets with. People can be cruel and will try and ruin you if they can for some sick twisted reason. Your in a room full of sick people trying to get well. I feel that AA is watered down when the courts mandate people to go to meetings. Would the courts mandate someone to go to church or confession? AA has evolved into a religion. Their is dogma, traditions, a belief system, and fellowship. Separation of church and state is important to preserving individual freedoms to worship how and what we want. Don't tell me to go to a program where Its suggested that I worship a doorknob until I find my own conception of a higher power. When it was for people that wanted it it was beautiful. Alcoholics Anonymous is almost state sponsored which goes against there own traditions of not being affiliated with any outside organizations. AA has created a monster in the people who don't understand the program. It's about loving the newcomers until they love themselves right? It's about welcoming back relapsers with welcome arms because it could be you coming back raising your hand. People put such an emphasis on time being sober but it's not a popularity contest. Just for today right. AA is like the mafia once your in you can never leave till death do us part. AA Is a powerful growing religion much like the early stages of Christianity. They have money, influence and power. They are not to be messed with.

There is no constitutional requirement that district courts exist at all. Indeed, after the ratification of the Constitution, some opponents of a strong federal judiciary urged that the federal court system be limited to the Supreme Court, which would hear appeals from state courts.

Of the five, the Constitution adopted only two: levying war and adhering to enemies. Omitted were species of treason involving encompassing (or imagining) the death of the king, certain types of counterfeiting, and finally fornication with women in the royal family of the sort which could call into question the parentage of successors Republicanism is the guiding political philosophy of the United States. It has been a major part of American civic thought since its founding.[1] It stresses liberty and unalienable individual rightsas central values, making people sovereign as a whole, rejects monarchy, aristocracy and inherited political power, expects citizens to be independent in their performance of civic duties, and vilifies corruption.[2] It seems like the founding fathers would ask what we have created based on the original philosophy of republicanism.
Alexis de Tocquevillewarned about the “tyranny of the majority” in a democracy, and suggested the courts should try to reverse the efforts of the majority of terminating the rights of an unpopular minority.[7]
I think this has to do with bipartisanship. Having control of the house and senate divides us as people down the middle either republican or democrat and bills are either knocked down or put through based on who has the majority in the house and senate. In 1917, a great debate took place over Woodrow Wilson’s proposal to draft men into the U.S. Army after war broke out in Europe. Many said it violated the republican notion of freely given civic duty to force people to serve.
Adams was a political theorist in the Age of Enlightenmentwho promoted republicanism and a strong central government. His innovative ideas were frequently published. He was also a dedicated diarist and correspondent, particularly with his wife and key advisor Abigail.
“Politics is the Science of human Happiness -and the Felicity of Societies depends on the Constitutions of Government under which they live.” John Adams
On a side not John Adams was hated by his peers.
After the Boston Massacre, despite severe local anti-British sentiment, he provided a successful though unpopular legal defense of the accused British soldiers, driven by his devotion to the right to counsel and the “protect[ion] of innocence”.[ that’s a honest attorney with integrity and principle. Thus, Adams also conceived of the idea that two legislative bodies should serve as checks to the power of the other.
Thomas Paine connected independence with common dissenting Protestant beliefs as a means to present a distinctly American political identity, structuring Common Sense as if it were a sermon.
In government, unicameralism (Latin uni, one + camera, chamber) is the practice of having one legislative or parliamentary chamber. “A good argument for this system would be the checks and balances that exist today are not fast and efficient enough to handle a ever changing social and political landscape. Sometimes you need to act fast and that’s why executive order is frowned upon by congress in certain situations like funds appropriations. ” anonymous
Within U.S. states, Nebraska is currently the only state with a unicameral legislature; after a statewide vote, it changed from bicameral to unicameral in 1937.[2] Nebraska’s state legislature is also unique in the sense that it is the only state legislature that is entirely nonpartisan.
Food for thought with the election so close.

St. Francis of Assisi prayer
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace; Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is error, truth; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek To be consoled, as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.
My morning inspiration
“Be Content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.” ~ Lao Tzu
This is true.
Imagine a world...
A world with no borders. The rich countries could belong to a union called, United Nations of Global Unity. I would offer tax breaks to the citizens that put money towards humanitarian aid projects. Projects like securing a healthy supply of food, water and medicine in parts of the world where people are dying. If Joe and Susie spent $400,000 towards a desalinization plant in Africa, they could write that off in taxes. Right off the bat, I would cut taxes by %20 as a sign of good faith. Citizens would be asked to contribute a minimum in humanitarian aid to the cause of their choice. I was thinking that amount should be 5 to 10% of their taxes depending on their circumstances. The countries that were more prosperous would assist countries that were less fortunate. We would do this out of kindness. Not to own parts of their country or rights to their mines or oil fields. Separate countries would still exist. A great coalition would exist. If a member of the UNGU was not pulling their weight, they would be asked to leave. The benefits of being in the UNGU would be a pool of financial resources. Different countries could use these resources towards bettering the world and their countries. Each year dividends would be payed out to the various members of the coalition. Mutual funds would exist that countries would pay into semi annually. Each country would be a shareholder. Dividends would be paid out based on market shares value of the fund. When discoveries and new inventions are made that create profits the inventor/discoverer gets %25 and the rest of the money made would go towards the fund. We are not working for free. The work we do free’s us as a people. When a country gets on its feet, they would begin to pay back a portion agreed upon. However, citizens humanitarian aid donations are not to be paid back. A tax write off is the only incentive but that’s good enough for me. If Sam in Australia has an idea, he goes through the proper approval channels of the UNGU. He could take money from the coalitions mutual fund to finance his project. That goes for anyone belonging to the UNGU. It’s like applying for a grant. As countries basic needs are met, change would begin. When you grow up with enough food, water and medicine you are less inclined to be violent and unhappy. Look at the difference between the poor and middle class families in America. People also tend to be more productive. They have better ideas when their brains have the proper nutrients required. We would still have a strong military. It would be more specialized with new branches that specialize in infrastructure development and inventions. Combat divisions would make up a smaller percentage of overall personnel. Benefits of my idea include tax write off’s, smaller government, safer, cleaner world. Citizens would be participating in the solution, doing things that government normally does. We could start this experiment at home and put the money towards are own infrastructure. Build schools, hospitals, libraries, stadiums, fix roads, build more hydroelectric dams. We could pay of the national debt and pay off our creditors. The bible says, we are our brothers keepers. Let’s start acting like that here and abroad. In order to join UNGU you would have to meet certain criteria. What that criteria is, would be decided by a committee put together by members of the UNGU. As developing countries began to be self supporting through there own contributions, they could join the UNGU. Brilliant thinkers that never had a voice could come forward advancing the world forward in ways never imagined. Weapons of mass destruction would lose importance. Love is stronger than hate. We would spearhead this experiment along with Germany, England, Australia, Switzerland, China and others who want to be a part off. I know world peace is unrealistic, but I’m a dreamer and it’s practical. It saves us money on taxes. It creates jobs, charitable organizations, a cleaner planet. Just food for thought. This would be my global initiative. Thanks for reading.
