Welcome to my “Good Eats” page! You either know me from @atlafan or @jordanrosenburg
This is a space where I’m reviewing interesting restaurants I’ve been to, and the food I’ve had. I love recommending places to people I meet, so I thought why not blog about it?
If you have any places in the greater Boston area you want me to try, let me know!
Whether you’re getting off at Park Street to spend a day walking The Common, or heading to a show at The Wilbur, you have to make Fajitas & ‘Ritas your lunch/dinner destination.
I started coming here around five years ago after my best friend told me about it. She had gone on a whim with another friend and raved about it. Now, every time we find ourselves getting off at Park Street, we make sure to go to our favorite Mexican restaurant.
This place has every type of margarita you can imagine, and you can get them frozen! Going out with a group? You can order a liter of frozen margaritas for you and your friends to split. A LITER! Their drink menu has a vast amount of flavors, my personal favorite is the Raspberry Rita with a salt rim. My best friend loves the passion fruit and the strawberry (a classic rita). The last time I went, I asked for a blue raspberry, and it did not disappoint.
From the second you walk in, you’ll get speedy and friendly service. Each table is covered with crate paper, and has a roll of paper towels on a dowel. They know things might get messy, and I love when places are proactive about those things. You’re immediately met with corn tortilla chips and homemade salsa.
Their food menu has what you’d expect at any Mexican restaurant, but what sets Fajitas & ‘Ritas apart from any other Mexican restaurant is that the food has quality and is authentic. I usually get a tostada salad with shrimp, right? I know that sounds pretty basic, but the shrimp is blackened and is served with a delicious parmesan peppercorn dressing. It also comes with a side of guac, which is perfect for dipping that fried tortilla in. My friend recently tried the same salad, but with chicken, and loved it! I’ve also had their nachos, quesadillas, tacos, and desserts! I’ve never had a bad meal at this place.
The atmosphere is vibrant and fun. There’s art all over the walls, and you’ll find many previous customers’ signatures on the walls and tables. The music is charming, and the staff is beyond friendly. They continue to wear masks during the pandemic, but you can still see their smiles. I always tip 30% at this place.
So, if you love a good ‘rita and positive vibes, then this is the place for you!
