Anne Pascual talked about In Farm, a company which collaborated with IDEO to design the future of urban farming. INFARM is pioneering on-demand farming services to help cities become self-sufficient in their food production, while eliminating waste and reducing their environmental impact.

Designing at scale

Anne Pascual from IDEO shared her design principles supplemented with some case studies. #1 - Start with a big vision Rather than just looking for a scalable solution, start with a big vision in order to have disproportionate impact. #2 - Enable consistency When designing a scalable product or experience, you need to enable consistency not uniformity. #3 - Co-create By being transparent, you overcome later hurdles of implementation which only appears at scale. #4 - Build bridges When designing a platform stay nimble, build bridges within and outside the organisation.
