Lima, Ohio. I can’t say I ever expected to be back here, but when I heard about the reunion, I just had to convince Chad to fly us both out for the week. He’s not pleased, but the temptation to see who’s aged like fine wine, and who’s aged like sour milk was just too much to resist.

So, fellow graduates. Catch a girl up. What have I missed in the past twelve years?

Well, if it isn’t one of the most beautiful girls to have ever stepped foot on this campus. It’s lovely to see you again, Veronica.

A lot has changed in 12 years. I’ve been claimed, have a son, I’m a stay at home dad/caregiver to seven beautiful children.

What about you? I’m sure you’re living a fabulous life?

12 years…That’s flown by for sure. Feels like yesterday when we graduated and left this place to continue our lives. How is everyone?

It truly does feel like not that long ago. I’m doing well, though. Honestly no complaints at all. How about yourself?

Ya know, I don’t even have to travel for this reunion and tryin’ to simmer down two 6 year olds, plus an additional six wonderful, highly energetic kids might make me a little crazy. How are y’all fairin’ tryin’ to get here?

Same as you, literally. But you know what, Austin? We made it. We survived with all of, or most of our sanity and I’m so proud of us.

Hello, everybody! This certainly feels like a trip down memory lane. It’s amazing how many things you think you had forgotten, and with just one look at something, some place, some people, it all comes back at once. But seeing all my classmates again is one of the things I look forward the most!
