the good doctor.
A voice of a missing man sends for attentive criminals. A few shuffles of men surrounding a door stand tremulous.
Gothamites pride themselves on idiosyncratic comportment; and a resounding call foments interest between listeners. From the hesitant stares among slim pickings of better men, imploring eyes roll against the sockets to plead with a Rogue. Not even a sizable pay and the barrel of a gun will influence their step. Expectant, piercing eyes lift between three expendable men.
To the cognizant among the few men standing, it would seem his associate is no longer alive. “Well, you have a gun. Bring him back.” and with a smooth push, Jonathan nudges one inside. Fingers latch at the handle to close the door.

❛ HELP--! ❜ Terrified howls escape the closed - off room. They are punctuated only by wretched screams and pounding gunfire. Joshua, if he can even be called by name anymore, knows well that a greater catch lies in wait beyond that door. But it would hardly be satisfying to fight his way there. No... the scarred, morphed wendigo intends to bide his time and lure the man closer. In mere seconds, all becomes eerily silent. The men who have come to take him lay strewn behind various objects, hidden by crates and stacked barrels. A torn up leg can be seen sticking out, blood pooling from it.
❛ ..Boss! ❜ Now the voice comes from Josh, though it is a frighteningly accurate imitation of one of the half - brained goons. ❛ I got ‘im-- can ya get the door? ❜

mockery.
“Like what?”
He speaks with the pleasantness of a serpent, venomous fangs folded back into his mouth but undeniably there, hidden beneath the friendly (mocking) crooked smile curling across his face. Malice is not his intent, but he is inherently malicious - and his fascination with the boy’s transformation can and does exist in tandem with amusement born from his obvious distress.
The man’s words drag Josh back to his childhood, back to carved - in recollections of fights he would get into, whether it be by his hand or someone else’s, no matter how many times his mother and father would try to lecture sense into him. Sense. As though it were that simple. It no longer matters who this stranger is, or how he has found the half - monster. All that busies Josh’s mind is the pain of it all. Agony racking his body from his stomach, aching and empty, to his bones. ❛ Fuck you, ❜ he veritably spits out, mismatched eyes momentarily screwing shut. ❛ I’ll kill you. ❜

chef.
&&. ( Polished shoes step from the cab; hues taken in the ample residence of his new employers. The WASHINGTON’S ——— a prominent family undoubtedly. The purchasing a mountain is surely no small feat && will give such credit, after all.
BUSY, busy ——— from his interview it was apparent the Mr. && Mrs. Washington had little time for anything. Much less cooking, understandable why they would hire him. He admittedly knew little of film && what was known, tended to rather old fashioned, preferring books for recreation. Legs carry him to the door, approach swift && with grace. A single slim digit presses to the doorbell… waiting && anticipating. )
@joshosis liked for a starter.
Though little can be heard through the securely fastened door, Josh thumps down the stairs, making quite the racket as he speeds his way to the entrance. With his parents away due to work and his sisters out at some music festival, he’s been left to tend to the house for the day, given the barest of instructions. Maybe it’s time to hire a butler. They’ve been coming back into style lately, anyway. The door opens with a neat click, revealing the seemingly put-together Washington, who is sure to greet the newcomer with a dashing grin. ❛ Hey. ❜
❛ You’re the new chef, right? I’m Josh. ❜ He offers his hand to be shaken, confidence pervading his every move. ❛ Welcome. ❜
instead of hero/villain ships being about weird power dynamics or sexual tension or whatever, hero/villain ships where is just kinda.. happens… like the hero spends so much time with the villain, trying to save them or rehabilitate them or kill them in some instances, that they actually start enjoying the villain’s company more than they’d like to admit. both sides end up have post or pre-battle heart to hearts, where they discover they have more in common than they thought. maybe the hero can understand the villain’s plight, or the villain comes round to the hero’s way of thinking.
more hero/villain ships where the villain just sort of hangs out with the heroes. they’re bound to betray them at some point, or so the hero thinks, because they’re a free spirit who follows their own whims. but now the villain is crashing at the hero’s apartment and the hero doesn’t even care. sometimes the hero and villain eat takeout together or fall asleep in the same places. then the hero really notices the villain’s absence when they’re gone.
more hero/villain ships where the hero and villain have known each other since they were kids, or certainly for a long time. they were friends. somewhere along the line they became more, or at least one of them started to develop feelings for the other. then when they eventually become the hero and the villain, those feelings don’t just go away. they manifest themselves into strangled pleas and frustrated yelling. alternatively, the relationship continues, but it’s not healthy and they need to stop, but they’re addicted to each other.
more hero/villain ships where it never goes past flirting and battle banter. they’re always teasing and flirting with each other, maybe even been close enough to kiss and smiled with shit eating grins on their faces, but both recognize it could never work.
more hero/villain ships from the villain’s perspective. pining away for the hero in their secret lair or from prison. being so close to almost letting slip that they love the hero. the villain being mentally ill and unable to cope with their attraction to the hero and having that drive them deeper into themselves, to the point where the hero almost becomes the villain’s villain.
