when i heard my co-workers were on tumblr, i was a little afraid of what i’d find, being a tumblr veteran myself. turns out they’re mostly normal batshit insane. so. after years of being on this hellsite, i have a personal blog now.

i’m still just a med student, currently in my ER rotation. don’t ask me for medical advice. ask me about literally anything else, actually.

hii :) i wanted to join in on the fun! i know we don’t know much about joy, so a lot of this will end up being based on my own headcanons for them. i think a lot of the fandom, at least from what i’ve been seeing, has come to the conclusion that she’s very chronically online, hence this post.

some of my personal headcanons for her: born & raised in queens (shh i don’t care they confirmed she’s from philly), they/she pronouns, thinking of pursuing a career as a medical examiner. i myself am autistic, and kind of view her as such as well -- at the very least, i view her as also neurodivergent.

i’m 20 and use they/them! i’m unsure if i’d even get any NSFW asks/interactions, but as long as you’re not a minor they’re ok, just don’t be weird lol. this is my main blog, but i also run @loserlesbianisms, @kiaralfarolcsw, and @wishuwellforever. mod talk will be in orange!

also, i'm not korean, but i did ask a close friend who is for a transliteration of her first name for the display name of this blog. irene choi has her name in hangul next to her name in english on her instagram, so i thought it'd be nice for joy to have it as well :) i think that's it, let me know if i missed anything!

It shouldn’t have to be said, AGAIN, but we are PEOPLE. stop telling characters to kill themslves. Stop sending anonymous asks that are just straight up hate speech. It’s fine if you don’t like a character. The block button is so free and easy to find. The mods behind these accounts are the ones answering asks. Not the fictional hospital ocs and canon characters we play.

It should not have to be fucking said, for the fifth time in the last two months. If you have a problem with a character, block or explain to the mod. Don’t send death threats. You make it miserably for those of us who want to be here and interact, and in that you are RUINING IT FOR ALL INVOLVED AND THE PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING FUN.

That being said, ask etiquette is half the reason I don’t respond to them. You guys send some vile shit sometimes, and I’m only one person. I’m not Shawn Hatosy playing Jack abbot. I’m me, putting life into a character I like. I’m sick and tired of watching people, the friends I’ve made here, beg to be treated normally.
