Heartland Ranch Fanatic

My name is Pete, I found Heartland one day while looking for something different to watch that was not full of the same old junk. violence, killing, etc., etc. Family entertainment with style and story lines that all the family could watch. I found Heartland and have been a fanatic about the show ever since..... I love horses but am stuck in the city, wishing I lived on a horse ranch.

I'm going to bet Ty & Amy DO go through with the elopement. As some have said it would be wrong for anyone to interrupt or prevent it. It was Amy who suggested they elope: "This marriage... this next step in our life... this is ours, okay? Just ours". If you follow that logic, then not even fans HAVE to see the wedding or hear the vows. (By now, don't we know what they would say?) Here's a thought: maybe it is Casey riding the horse in the “leaked” wedding photo.

Okay, here’s the deal with the next episode: As a keeper of this blog, I post a lot of spoilers etc. so I have very little to be surprised about these days and I want to be surprised about 8x17/8x18, so I’m not going to be online for the next 16 hours or so. I won’t be checking my inbox, I won’t reblog any new pictures or post any spoilers etc. for the next 16 hours. All the posts are coming from the queue and are not spoilerish.  After those 16 hours (or so), I’m going to post my general replies as “replies” and all the Tamy wedding talk is going to go under “replies” and “wedding talk”. All the spoilerish graphic posts (that reveal big plot points) are going to be tagged under “spoilers”. All graphic posts are also going to be tagged as “heartland”, so they are going to end up on tumblr’s heartland tag (I suggest maybe not go there until you’ve seen the episode/unless you’ve blacklisted these tags). I was thinking today that Jesse has ammunition against Ty on two separate occasions (the bar with Caleb and the trailer) which could seem to a D.A. to be a slam-dunk case against him. At the trailer he (Jesse) was clearly trespassing before Caleb was in default but at the bar both Ty & Caleb had been thrown in the tank. Jesse could have either of these as his primary grievance. The only thing is that at the bar Cassandra could testify that Jesse threw the first punch. Would this get Ty off?

Jesse is a punk, he needs to Cowboy Up and get a life. He is just another spoiled rich boy with to much time on his hands. I hold out for Jack calling his Momma to set him straight.

What ever happen to zephyr the horses that was given to amy in the season finally of season 5? He was given to amy and then just disappeared.

I don’t know/can’t remember if he was given only for the audition. In Renard’s letter it said he wanted them to learn something from each other, so I guess he could have just given him to Amy so that she could learn to do that performance and Zephyr could learn to work as a team.

I have said this more than once this season, but the next episode offers a chance for the writers to make up to us fans for what they did to us in the first half of se8. e.g. Jessie & Amy working out whatever they agree to about Ty's situation and he asks her "Why did you choose some delinquent jerk who is never going to amount to anything over me?" and Amy starts recalling, one after another, some of the things he has done to show how much he loves her. I can see it now..."Well, Jessie" (Cont)

"it’s a lot of reasons, like when we were just kids he found out I wanted to start jumping again and I didn’t have a way to get Spartan to a proper course, he just made a wonderful course for me out in that old field with hay bales and logs, or the time Spartan was stolen and I was going to sneak out and get him back by myself and Ty made sure I stayed out of trouble, in spite of myself. He would have given up everything, even his freedom, without a second thought." Then the memories begin to overwhelm her. "It was always something he would do or say. After my accident at Hillhurst, I seriously thought I would never regain my sight. I told Ty that I understood if he wanted to reconsider our engagement since our lives would have been so different, and instead of pushing me away, he just held me tighter and made sure I knew he was always going to be there for me. Those aren’t the kind of things anyone can buy or give to you without it coming from the heart." "Those are just the first things that pop into my head. There is so much more to me and Ty that. I love him, Jessie, and I know that he would give everything he has, even his life for me, if he thought he needed to protect me. My life is going to be with Ty, one way or the other, so what’s it gonna be? Do you really think you need to ruin everything Ty has worked for, everything we dreamed of doing, over this?" My "sources" for watching new episodes usually include the previews for the following week at the end. But the past 2-3 haven't and that's thrown me off a bit In having to find it elsewhere. as for what brought me to your blog was that I had read about the opening to season 8 and was curious what was going on and was keeping up with the current episodes while I was catching up on Netflix (I'm kinda late to heartland lol)

Yea, I always liked that idea but I guess since in my culture it is not a big deal to live in a home with multiple families. Grandparents, siblings and their families, as long as the home is big enough. I hold out for the idea of expanding the ranch house, like possibly adding another wing to the back. We have never seen how much room for growth there is in the back yard.

Episode was good but... Not liking how Ty still keeps Amy an arms length away from his feelings. He isnt very good at hiding his troubled mind from Amy. He still has that initial "nothing wrong" response until she has to poke and prod him to confess. I know he is probably trying to protect both his feelings of insecurity and Amy's worries for him. But seems to me he needs to start to open up more about his issues both past and present.

100% agree, I really like the episode but frustrated with Ty. Back in 608 (I think) he said to Amy that "All that stuff was in the past and IT couldn't hurt him any more". Well prove it Ty, where is the growth into manhood. You want Amy not to hold things from you, what are you doing?

Have you checked out Soile's "Promise Kept"? I imagine that you would love it. Please encourage her to keep writing and providing us more chapters fast. I think she will listen to you. Okay?

I have seen it, it has many simularities to CarguySteve ' FOUR MONTHS. I so agree, Soile is so gifted at writing as well as a person she is awesome. I have been snowed under with work but am starting to get some more time. I have found some time to read the new story but started over to freshly comment.

/jpnightrun, I know that you are a great fan of the Heartland tv series. You my want to check out the Highlandians site because there is a wonderful fanfiction (Promise Kept) in the making and I have not seen you comment on it yet. I tend to agree on your take on things. I hope this reaches you. In my opinion, the writer, Soile , is the best in the business. However, Sarah - Next Steps and the car guy- Four Months are very good too.

Hi Anon, yes I have been following Soile and Sarah for the last couple of years. I have read every one of both of their fanfics. Due to work responsibility I have been fairly quiet but most definitely have kept up with my two most favorite blogs in the world.However thank you so much for taking the time to inform me. First: great story! Love it! Hope there is still lot to come! 2nd: I once read that for S1 they filmed two different endings. Is it possible that they do the same every year? Otherwise i am quite positive about S9, everyone seems to be so calm and rather resting than agressivily looking for a new job. If it is a sign of something at all.

Thank you! :)It’s possible they have an alternative ending, though I doubt it. I think there was even a year when they aired the last episode before they knew if they were getting renewed, so in that sense they couldn’t have chosen an alternative ending, for example. But I feel like with season 1, they were just getting started and didn’t really have as much credibility as they do now, which would explain the alternative ending option. Blog Whisperer has said that if the show would get cancelled, they would most likely wrap things up with a movie - so we wouldn’t be left completely hanging.I feel like everyone’s pretty chill about the renewal too, which makes me calmer as well.
