This same thing happened the other day, I was reading an irondad fanfic and someone left a hate comment on the author’s fanfic telling them that it wrong to say Tony did everything for Peter (making time-travel possible and helping the Avengers). SO WHAT IF HE DID? lmaooo are yall insane? If the author of the fic interpreted Endgame that way you’re going to have to let them believe what they want. It’s their fanfic, go write yours if you want. It’s the entitlement for me, as if yall own everyone’s opinions, what a bunch of weirdos. For some he did it for Pepper and Morgan, for others he did it for Peter, for others he did it for Natasha, for others he did for Steve and the team, etc.
It’s FANFICTION. F-I-C-T-I-O-N. Get it? It’s a fictional world where you can shape and bend the characters at your will, it doesn’t mean that the alternate universe you created in fanfiction is canon. Some of you are too uptight and get upset about stupid ass things.

Many other characters, literally every single comic book character adopts Peter and he becomes their kid. And yes, they killed off May, Ben, and Peter’s parents for this too.
There are fanfics where Tony is the bad parent (Dark Tony tag in AO3), where he’s the one that dies, where May has to save Peter from him and you see NO ONE complaining, because there’s nothing to complain about, it’s a work of fiction someone created in their free time. Yall act like Karens at this point.

Two major villains: Kraven and Scorpion. If the leak can be trusted, filmmakers are eyeing Henry Cavill to tackle Kraven.

The real Mary-Jane Watson might appear in the movie: Atlanta Filming posted the following photo from a Spider-Man: Homecoming deleted scene which shows Spider-Man swinging with a red-haired girl. The context of the scene sees Spider-Man in Germany for Captain America: Civil War where Spidey goes out to swing around Berlin and comes across a party where he takes the girl for a ride. The photographer says to remember this photo and that it's significant in relation to something that comes out next year, which sounds like Spider-Man 3 that gets released in 2021.

We know that Tony and Peter spent more time with each other between Homecoming and IW and we can guess that they saw each other pretty frequently during that time (like lab days etc.), but how do you think in canon they got to that point to begin with? Do you think Tony approached him with an internship? Mentoring for Spider-Man? I guess I’m just wondering what the transition from mentor-mentee to father-son looked like at the beginning (and this definitely isn’t for a theoretical tv series I’m brainstorming lol). I’m curious what your thoughts are! Thank you!
One of the things I love about irondad? Tony’s interest in Peter is not forced. This is something Tony wants to do.
Tony sought Peter out. He kept eyes on him since the beginning. He’s been monitoring the kid all the time. He has that spark of interest. He was excited to meet him:
And since then he left little subtle hints that he wanted to be part of Peter’s life but gradually, at his own pace; like calling Peter to congratulate him for saving his friends instead of putting Happy between them, giving his compliments, and admitting he wants to try a different approach than Howard’s (in this part basically admitting he wants to be Peter’s father-figure), etc.
By the end of the movie, you can see that interest is still there and more ready than before:
I think, with a little more mentoring, you could be a real asset to the team.
And he could’ve let the kid do his own thing after that, instead:

This end was the perfect setting for a tv series, to be honest, especially because right after this May discovered his identity lmao.
Let me use symbolism to explain how this sets things up:
See here. One of them is opening a door of possibilities (Tony; getting married, settling down by living a less intrepid life, mentoring a kid, setting boundaries for himself, etc) and the other one is closing the door of fixation (Peter; withdrawing from growing up too fast, settling down by doing the things he can and helping the people he should, discovering more about his journey as a hero, letting someone else guide him, etc).
So Tony probably made the internship real since where else would Peter learn how to manage Tony’s tech the way he did in FFH?
Where else would peter upgrade the web-shooters (made by Stark tech)? The directors confirmed it was Peter the one who did the upgrade and that Peter added a Stark appeal to them. He can’t do that at his school because Tony’s tech is on another level, he probably used one of Tony’s labs. The new ones in IW are capable of self-assembling onto Peter's wrist and the trigger for activating the firing mechanism is able to retract into the main body of the Web-Shooters, allowing Peter to wear them with his normal clothes. He definitely used Tony’s lab for this:

I know we all love to imagine that the picture was taken because Flash didn’t believe Peter and consequently Tony decided to provide peter evidence but I don’t think so lmao This happened because Peter actually began a real internship with Tony:
Some people think this was taken in CW but that doesn’t make any sense. Sure, Tony could’ve done that to give May some evidence but if May believed Tony from the very beginning that he was offering an internship to Peter without asking for proof, then why would she question it? This was taken after Homecoming.
Apart from the fact that, as I’ve said before, WEB is something canon; the organization is going to be incorporated into upcoming comics and movies confirmed by Disney executives. So basically there’s more proof, Tony made an entire project and organization inspired by Spider-Man and Peter. He has that interest in him. Also, he left EDITH for Peter. Basically, a control remote for his bank accounts, company, and legacy, would he leave that to a kid he didn’t mentor or he merely got to know?
So they probably started (for your idea/project) by Tony using an excuse (in this case, something like WEB or some other project) to get to know Peter better. Then started forming the friendship by working together. And then the rest is history lmao

Yeah, the fact that some people believe that Tony would refuse to hug a kid he considers his own for two years, especially when we know how his own relationship with Howard was.

Tony is usually the first to comfort his teammates. He brought smoothies for the team after a mission, went to check on Clint, hugged, and offered comfort to Bruce when he saw him (take into consideration that he didn't see him in two years but that didn't prevent him from showing him affection), etc.
The thought of them hugging in those two years shouldn’t be a bizarre concept but this is just my opinion.

I lost respect for the team when they let Thor do this:

The double standard in these movies when it came to Tony. All of them have done terrible stuff, none of them are perfect. Many of the things they accuse Tony of, they’ve done it themselves:
Natasha: one of the most feared assassins in Russia. (killed a lot of people on her past, something Tony has also been responsible for) Her reputation made it to SHIELD’S hit list and was considered a potential threat to global security to the point SHIELD sent Clint to kill her. Incidents like Budapest, Osaka, the children’s ward, the hospital fire (it’s implied she was sent in to make an assassination look like an accident and started a fire which ended up killing a number of innocent people.), São Paulo, etc. Loki: ‘Barton told me everything. Your ledger is dripping, can you wipe out that much red? it's gushing red and you think saving a man no more virtuous than yourself will change anything’
Thor: started as a reckless arrogant god with a large ego to the point that the first thing he did as a king was to sacrifice the lives of innocent people including his own friends to go to war against the Frost Giants even if his father warned him not to go to Jotunheim, this led Asgard to be at war and him to be proven unworthy by betraying Asgard and his loved ones by his actions, chose to taunt Thanos instead of going for the instant kill even knowing how many lives were at stake, this gave Thanos the opportunity to muster the strength to snap his fingers, all of this because he was dealing with grief (something Tony did with Bucky). "Loki's rage followed me here and your people paid the price. And now again. In my youth, I courted war."
Steve: a war criminal by choice, refused to sign papers that could be negotiable over time and refused to hand over control requested by 117 countries, refused to tell Tony about his parent’s death even if he was Howard’s friend and Tony was housing him with commodities, even knowing the truth, he still looked down on Tony and treated in a condescending ways; someone as ‘honorable’ as him judged Tony from the very beginning without knowing him personally, the civilians killed in Lagos because he got distracted, he treated those civilians as ‘casualties’ on the day to day job, refused to sign again only because Tony had Wanda inside a facility where she can be protected, throws a tantrum and calls wanda a ‘kid’ then proceeds to fight Peter Parker with no problems and even throws him a piece of aircraft equipment without knowing the kid’s strength, then made Clint bring Wanda into a war she wasn’t supposed to be part of (something Tony did with Peter), put his entire team in danger and risked their lives at his own petition, went back in time and got rid of Peggy’s agency; someone who was happily married with kids, he was willing to tear the Avengers apart for Bucky but given the option, he still left said friend to suffer for years even if he knew he was being tortured, etc. ‘I'm sorry. Steve. That - that is dangerously arrogant. This is the United Nations we're talking about. It's not the World Security Council, it's not SHIELD, it's not HYDRA.’
Clint: became a brutal assassin who kills people he believes are unworthy to have been spared from the snap, left his wife and kids for a fight he had no business in even if he was retired and it wasn’t a requirement from his part to sign the accords, constantly putting his own family in danger, mockingly told Wanda to go back to school if she wanted to ‘mope’ over the death of civilians in Lagos, became a war criminal by his own volition blaming Tony for his own choices and accused him of being responsible of Rhodey’s misfortune, made of all this deal only to be placed under house arrest and agree to follow the Sokovia Accords as he should’ve done from the very beginning in benefit of his own family, under Loki’s control he helped him steal the Tesseract, escape and inform him all about the members of Fury's team, including the dangerousness of Hulk, Black Widow's past, and the power of Stark Tower. While doing this, he shot and killed many people and helped unleash the hulk (Tony was also a victim of someone’s mind control), Rhodey to Natasha about Clint: "What he's done here, what he's been doing for the last few years... I mean the scene that he left... I gotta tell you there's part of me that doesn't even want to find him."
Bruce: just like Tony, he wasn’t informed of the real intention under the military’s plans and worked on a dangerous serum for the United States Armed Forces, then upped the dosage of the gamma radiation serum to impress Betty’s dad and the hulk was created (playing with something he didn’t know about, something Tony has also been accused of), this also resulted in him killing two scientists, an army officer, and many others, he’s also responsible for Ultron not only Tony, under Wanda’s mind control (Tony was also a victim of Wanda’s mind control), the Hulk destroyed the city of Johannesburg; largest city in South Africa and Bruce was in talks to be arrested, Tony prevented that. "Only when I've created a murder-bot."
The list goes on and on. All of them have done horrible things, and somehow Tony is the one they see as the one they shouldn’t trust, the one they should watch their backs before he ‘betrays’ them. Tony deserved to say every word he said here:

Well, some stans really like the fake woke wave a little too much. And some of them fear it to the point it controls them. They like to act like they’re profoundly offended by Tom’s lack of support when in reality, those same stans demanding support from their faves are actually scared that people are going to cancel them if they don’t post anything. They are so used to receiving a response from them on command that they now think those celebrities owe them a full itinerary of their days and actions. Supporting the movement comes in many ways and forms. Some celebs are going to the protests, some others are donating, some others are educating, some others are sharing links, etc.
This movement is not about who is more woke, it’s about helping and changing a system. It’s about giving people the support they always deserved and the rights they were supposed to be given since birth. But some stans can’t understand that, so they bully their faves into doing something so they don’t look nasty in the eyes of other people.
They push them to donate, speak about the movement, and open their wallets. In this instance this is not ok because they’re not pushing them because they actually care about the contribution or the movement, it’s more about their favorite actors/actresses staying as the unproblematic indisputable faves on social media.
They’re simple-minded individuals with childlike attitudes.
As far as we know, this kid could’ve donated without letting us know. Not every celebrity is the same, not every celebrity is going to show how much they’ve donated. And Tom already provided to his 30+ million of followers with links and ways on how to help. The rest of the contribution is something that comes from him, something private (donating, educating himself on the topics, learning about the movement, etc) and maybe he doesn’t want to share that and that’s fine. Tom has always been a private person, there’s a reason everyone is always wondering about his love life, this is because he has no interest in sharing some aspects of his life to the public and that’s valid. You don’t need to know everything that’s happening with them all the time.
Thing is, they don’t need to worry about them, they need to worry about how they’re educating themselves. Is it really more important that Tom Holland stays good with stan twitter and Instagram than learning new ways on how to help and make a change for the people that need it the most?
Also, I’ve seen people saying stuff like ‘Tom is doing this for Zendaya, he loves her so much♥’ or ‘this is proof they’re still together’ shut the fuck up about this already. Tom is not Zendaya’s puppet, he’s not doing it only for her. When are you going to stop acting like she’s his only friend? There are people dying and you are really looking for ways of turning this into a shipping thing? Tom Holland is not a toy. He’s a human being, he can date whoever he wants. You can’t base your entire happiness on Tom’s love life, it’s not healthy. Laura is 30, yes, just like you stated in your asks but think about this, Laura was 26 when she played Liz Allan and Spider-Man 3 has been pushed to November, 2021. Why are you making assumptions about real people’s lives? Tom would probably never go public with a relationship because he likes privacy a lot. So even if he did date Olivia or Daya we would never know. And he surely wouldn’t tell us in an interview like every time they asked about the Olivia pictures and the Daya scenario.
