What has always been the basis for my thoughts on Tae and Jk’s relationship is the way their bodies behave towards each other. I feel very strongly that that’s something you don’t find between any other BTS pairing. I feel very strongly that that’s something that indicates romance. It’s the very first thing that made me go from general Army, to a Tkkr. Is that enough to say I’m sure that they’re in a relationship? No, there is no way to be a 100 percent sure. But aside from the way they interact there is plenty to point to them being more than friends.

If you are aware of queer history, if you are aware of SK’s thoughts on queerness, if you have experience with marketing and content creation… you know that what we see from Tae and Jk fits. You know that queer couples don’t get the full spotlight. You know that you don’t search for a clear example of a romantic relationship (if something like that even exists), but you know what the clues of a hidden relationship might look like.

Making fun of our thoughts on this being a closeted relationship means you are making fun of closeted people’s reality. It is not ‘imagination’, it the combination of many factors that makes us believe this.

Hello Rain👋,I trust this message finds you well. A few months ago, I stumbled upon your blog and have been following it since.

While I've been an ARMY since 2021, I haven't paid much attention to the shipping aspect of the fandom aside from vmin. I must commend you and your fellow followers for being some of the kindest and most level-headed individuals. It perplexes me, however, that you guys believe that taekook exists.

To me, their connection seems more like that of brothers. I've delved into various videos, including that recommended timeline blog, and while I acknowledge a few moments might raise eyebrows, they don't particularly stand out. Similar moments exist among other members too. For me, neither Taekook nor Jikook goes beyond friendship.

So, my question is, how did you arrive at this perspective? What persuaded you otherwise? How do these moments differ from interactions with other members? I'm not trying to criticize anyone; I'm genuinely curious and eager to comprehend your viewpoint. I would appreciate it if other Taekookers could share their thoughts in the comment section as well.

Well, if you have been following me for some months and do not understand now, I don’t think anything I say now will make you reconsider 😊.

I see the members as some sort of brothers. I think there is no existing word to describe their bond for what it actually is, because how many cases like theirs are there. How do you describe coworkers/friends/housemates/people-who-are-on-a-joint-road-to-fame in one word? There isn't a fitting description for them imo. So, while I consider BTS members as brother-like.. to me Tae and Jk go beyond that. Because there's things they do and there's things other's do that does not fit the platonic brother bond.

They look at each other differently. And it's not pure friendship imo. At times, there's a pride and an admiration and a softness (yes, the softness!) in their eyes that they do not reserve for the others. And so many times that their eyes skid to the other for some sort of private moment of understanding or acknowledgement. I find them way more aware of the other than they are off other members, and I feel they look for each other more and look for the other's reactions to things more. Like.. they want to see how the other is reacting. There's smiles bitten away, there's a shyness at times that makes no sense in a platonic setting. And.. there's signs of attraction. Lipbiting, checking each other out.

The odness around them. Seriously, the whole narrative of them having been awkward/distant is such bs to me. I hate it so much! Because it just isn't true and the evidence of it not being true is right under everyone's noses. Instead of BH righting that narrative, they made it so that the whole of fandom (well not the whole, but a large part of it) actually believed it. But imo there is no way Tae and Jk ever were awkward or distant or anything less than friends. All throughout the years there's footage of them being comfortable and close. Directly after the ITS talk (and honestly even way before ITS) Tae and Jk were so super close. No way that happenend just because of them having one very public filmed talk. It's just such bs and I cannot conceive of a reason for that to have been a thing without there being a distinct reason for it.

The other members reaction to them. Seriously, Jm's reaction to them on several occasions 😂. He knows what goes around in their heads. Yoongi's text to both of them. Namjoon’s multiple instances of 🙄👀.

The way they hid in each other's lives. Like, what is the reason? Why not do a joint live when you're together?

Jk chooses Tae. Maybe not always with words, but he does with his body and his eyes. I get these long essays from Jkkrs telling me Jk always goes to Jm when he's troubled, but I think Tae and Jk are each other's main source of comfort. The way Jk reached out for Tae during Mama is really telling to me. That is how they really are. And I think that, because there's a shift in Jk that to me looks like he's breaking character. We get little snippets and hints of them taking care of each other. Jk with Tae when he’s not feeling well. Jk watching out for spicy food for Tae. Jk speaking out on Tae not being able to dance yet when he was injured. Jk pushing Tae to sit instead of him sitting incorrectly. Tae making sure Jk is not lonely. All the comforting motions. It’s actually way more than people usually consider, because it’s always something in the back and never the focus.

Tae is so obvious.

There’s probably even more. But to me the whole of it is just so much and it’s super consistent.

June 12, 2024 -

All members, except for Yoongi (who meets them later), reunite to congratulate Jin on his military discharge. We got really nice, clear photos of Jk! We haven’t gotten to see much of him during his time of service so this was such a treat. He looks healthy and great! 

And I can’t get over how buff and broad Tae has gotten. Wow!

 Upon Jin's discharge, I observed JK's demeanor, which appeared quite revealing. In my opinion, it's often the subtle details that carry the most weight. There were numerous minute details during this moment, and Taekook's body language provided valuable insights. When JK approached the group, he had the option to position himself anywhere, next to any other member. Yet, he deliberately chose to stand next to Tae.

Jungkook could have hugged Jin from where he was, but instead, he chose to reach out and touch Tae before going around him to do so. Initially, he seemed to be aiming for Tae's waist, but then quickly switched to placing his hand on Tae's shoulder.

He bumps Tae’s arm -

As Jk goes to hug Jin, he holds his wrist out for Tae to take. Tae isn’t holding his arm at this point, so Jk could’ve moved that arm to hug Jin with both arms, but he kept it in Tae’s reach as he goes to hug Jin.

These recent photos are incredibly heartwarming. Despite their faces being partly covered by masks, you can still see their genuine smiles and laughter. Knowing that they are happy makes me happy as well. Observing their body language and the overall atmosphere, it seems likely that they have had the chance to meet each other since starting their military service. Their contentment brings me a sense of peace. In one of the photos, Tae gently holds onto Jk's arm and whispers something to him, which prompts Jk to break into a lovely smile with crinkled eyes.

In my opinion, the hug between Jk and Tae, with Jk leaning into Tae’s chest, appears different from the hugs Tae had with other members. To me, this seems to indicate that they have seen each other since joining service. As always, you can decide as you like how you view this moment.

Additionally, Taekook were seen leaving the base together in the same car. This doesn't come as a surprise to me, and I'm sure it doesn't surprise others either. They have always been very close, and it's only natural for them to want some private time away from the cameras and the public eye. DISCLAIMER: This timeline/theory/analysis was originally built by Kayla and Sara with the help of BTS videos and their own words. From about April 2021 on is Kayla’s work alone. Sara is no longer part of this Taekook timeline as of about April 2021 and Kayla runs it alone. This is only speculation/theory, our interpretation. It’s impossible to note every interaction taekook has had but we did our best to include really iconic moments, and times that support our timeline theory. We’re human, so there is a margin of error for dates, though we did our best to back check everything. Anything uncredited is not intentional and is due to not knowing the original owner.

This has been an incredible and fun project. Little did I know when Sara and I connected over twitter that our mutual love and support of BTS, and Taekook, would bloom into this massive project. We were analyzing and piecing together a timeline in our DMs to each other, sharing info, researching videos and photos to support our theories, and brainstorming hints we’ve spotted.

I never realized when we started such an innocent brainstorming process between ourselves that others would be interested in seeing what our timeline looked like. We built this timeline with the hope that all of the photographic and video evidence, as well as BTS’ own words, speaks for itself. We used that evidence to support our belief on Taekook’s timeline. Any speculation done on our part was based on a multitude of things - circumstances leading up to, and surrounding, the event; common sense; and typical human behavior (people try to explain away BTS’ actions at times when, at the end of the day, some reactions are just standard for any human). All of those points were utilized to explain our logic when we did speculate.

We are human, and this timeline is massive. There will always be a margin of error. The beauty of this document is it’s a living, breathing document that Sara and I can modify and update as needed. If you see anything you believe is incorrect, our twitter accounts are at the top of the document, and at the bottom of this post. Please feel free to reach out. Likewise, if there's anything you believe needs adding, please let us know. I hope to update as BTS does more things, but if anything is missed or has been left out that you feel is important, reach out. Sara and I can discuss if it delves too far into the realm of speculation that it wouldn’t be wise to add, or we can agree to add it. We’ve done our best to build this timeline with integrity, with proof and evidence vs imagination. If there’s anything you disagree with, that’s okay too! This is a timeline built on our observations. This doesn’t mean it’s accurate to someone else’s perception, since Taekook hasn’t confirmed anything and we’ve had to rely on what evidence has been presented to us. We did our best to find videos, whether it’s on YouTube, Twitter or Instagram, to support our beliefs. We did our absolute best to double check these videos, as well as the words spoken, to ensure accuracy in what we uploaded. We also did our very best to credit any channel or account we used, though some were missed due to some being images found on Google, or shared on a social media platform from someone other than the original owner, or they were photos that had been saved before and we were unable to recall the account it was taken from. Any uncredited account is unintentional. We both are appreciative to all the accounts that were utilized in our research.

I am so proud of how hard we’ve worked on this document. This was a long back and forth process. As such, I want to ensure our names and accounts are at the top of this timeline doc, crediting the time and hard work it took to build this. I am excited to share this timeline with taekookers. However, I’d also caution on how this is disseminated amongst the taekook supporters. With love and positivity also, unfortunately, comes hate and negativity. As much as I’d love to share this doc on all social media platforms, I’m not interested or willing to argue, or receive backlash, with antis and/or disbelievers over an analysis we’re confident and proud of. This analysis is no different from someone taking the time to create a YouTube video. It’s just in document format.
