Photo series looking at the presence of a body in a home, the relationship between the organic human form and the manmade building. Photos always taken indirectly, through reflections.  The body is not the subject, more so this relationship between the body and it’s habitat is the subject.

I am painting the sea from the short story I wrote, thinking of eventually painting on fabric or creating a patchwork to then use in an installation piece that would represent the story. Extract from short story: “Before little mouse could see the wolf’s expression of pure bliss, out of complete fear she fell into another world. She could see herself slowly falling through the sky, towards an ocean.  As she fell, she felt the sun bake on her fur.  She could smell the gentle heat of the sun.  Before her eyes, she saw the ocean, a blue that puts her in a trance.  She sees the ocean glisten like millions of crushed up crystals twinkling playfully in the light and moving gently with the motion of the waves.   Before her body hits the water she is already anticipating the moment she will feel the refreshing, cool water on her body as she plunges deep inside.“ J.Ruiz
