It was a joke. We’re not in high school anymore right? Besides. I orchestrated Jenny and Aaron didn’t I? I backed out quietly? That had to earn me some points. Just graduated from Harvard Medical School. I’m a surgical intern at Toronto Memorial. Which is basically the bottom of the food chain - but it’s how it has to be. I do a lot of stitches and pass residents a lot of tools.

A suit might not change the fact that I'd still be referred to as a bridesmaids repeatedly through your engagement. But thirty? Really? Make it forty and you've got yourself a deal. I'm way too close to thirty now to believe that it's some insane age not to be married by. Chord also used to send me death glares and text messages like, 'Im watching u.' Though you'd never believe me. He hated me almost as much as Felicity hated you. You said something about him not being around a lot and the sex being good. After all that press drama and nonsense they went through in high school? Yeah, they deserve their happy fairy tale ending. Talk about the perfect fucking couple. I'm pretty glad Aaron has been in and out of my life, actually. Seeing them make out every five minutes is something I'm glad I don't have to endure. Sometimes I wonder who hated who more -- you or Felicity. I agree, I turned 19 years ago and yet I haven't been into a Toronto bar or club legally yet. Come later in the afternoon, we'll plan something. You and assholes. It's like you didn't learn in high school which guys to pick and choose from. Don't I make everything sound depressing? Shut it. High school was so long ago, it might as well just be irrelevant in a grand scheme of things. Since when do I giggle and care for what people are wearing? Will you let me get Everleigh angry by being the one who jokingly objects mid-ceremony? Because then, yes, we can go. Also, I would love to see Valli in an ugly dress, hating her life as maid of honor. Another reason why I'm said 'Mystery Man.' Because your goddamn cast and crew think we're dating after every show, too. It's true, they're not. They're worn out university kids who work at coffee shops or thirty/forty year olds who work as editors are very pretentious. Why did I break up with Anastasia? I can't even remember. End of sophomore year at NYU -- it's all a haze. Felicity, just... I don't know. She was... pretty. And I guess that's all I wanted junior year. Hey, hey, hey! That was totally a cough. Not a sigh of relief. Pff, I was totally in support of that relationship. (Just kidding, I hated his guts and when you said it was over, I won't lie, I did a happy dance). My two close childhood friends who never really seemed to like me? Joy. Can you believe it, though? Everleigh Torres is engaged. That will never not be shocking. Even on her wedding day, it will still surprise me. I don't know, she said something about wanting to 'get in close for the picture' and I just... let it happen. It's Grace Thompson. You don't question, you just listen. I wouldn't even know how to explain those texts to my NYU friends, let alone the tabloids and thousands of strangers. Keep that phone near and dear, Haig.

You know I'm the first one to admit how fucking terrible my first year at NYU was. I knew literally not a single person, was living alone, couldn't find a job. But then you came around the following year and things definitely got better. You pushed me to be social as always. Some things never change. I was perfectly fine! I had run into Grace before, everything was a-okay. I remember not getting to a phone before the picture of us at the lunch date went up on some social networking site, though and you freaked. 'What is she doing in your lap? CALL ME, ASAP!' Those are text messages I'm sure the tabloids would have twisted, along with everything else we do. God forbid you have a not so famous best friend, huh?

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's been -- what -- four years since we made that pact? And up until now, I've kept to it. I have no idea how to help you there. Grace and I only ran into each other a handful amount of times in New York and every time was civil as could be. There was even a lunch date. Maybe Rory will take you out to lunch.
