“Don’t worry, I won’t tell your kids.” Meredith winked with a chuckle not breaking eye contact with the cakes on display for one second. Meredith came forward to the counter and smiled at the worker “Hi, do you have cheesecake?” after her question was confirmed she turned to Julian “Which cake do you want?”
He chuckled lightly as the walked up to the counter. Pausing for a moment and he grabbed his wallet. "One of each."

Julian just kinda watched the other. Today wasn’t Sam’s day it seamed. He just slid off his backpack and handed him some baby wipes to clean himself off with. “You’re fine, mate. Clean up a bit and I’ll buy ya a new cup off coffee, yeah?”
Sam sighed, shaking his head and grabbed the wipes. He dabbed at his shirt and pants, which were both thankfully dark enough that it didn’t look horrible. “Thanks,” he mumbled. “You don’t have to do that, though. Misery loves me today,” he huffed.
"Yes but doesn't Misery love company too?" He said with a smile. "Seriously, let me by you a cup and try to make shit a bit better

“They don’t even know what’s coming their way.” Meredith laughed as she walked inside. The delicious smell of baked goods hit her as soon as she walked inside “I think I’m drooling right now.”
“Nope! No a fucking clue.” Julian held open the door and followed in behind her. Taking in a deep breath of the baked good. “Oh...the kids are gonna hate me for coming here without them. Let’s keep this between us yeah?
“Well you have a plan now. You are going to tell people if the cake was good or not.” Meredith pointed to the small bakery ahead of them. “I hope they have cheesecake.”
"This is it?" He asked looking up to the building. "Kay well they better or that cake expert will not be happy!"
“Of course.” Meredith faked a posh accent and held out her arm so he’d link his to hers “ Are you? I’ve found the right person then. If they taste as they look, we’ll both be pleased.”
He linked his arms with her. “That you did! I will be the judge of the cakes and their goodness. I will blog all about it.”
“You blog about food?” Meredith asked as she started to walk “Do you have one of those blogs that always manage to leave me hungry?”
“No actually I’m a Let’s Play YouTuber and play video games all day long.” He laughed. “But I have a blog. And I love to randomly throw shit out there like that because my community starts wondering why and making up theory’s why I did something out of the norm and it just explodes and it’s great!
“That’s cool.” Meredith couldn’t help but laugh “The internet starts making conspiracy theories about why you posted about cake. Shit’s going down.”
“I’m not even joking! Like I do something out of the norm and it’s just everywhere that I’m plotting something. It’s so great cause when I am plotting something they get it right on.”
“Maybe they think you are because you are.” Meredith smirked “There must be other people who also think that you might have been kidnapped by aliens.”
"Welll yeah sometimes I am but most of the times no! And I just did something with anti so like, I have nothing planned for now." He said. "Anyway yes. Probably, sure that one will come up fast."

Sam was not having a good day. His boss had threatened to fire him multiple times, which had him stressing to the point that not even his usual mix of an espresso shot and a migraine pill could get rid of his headache. He lost a contact in the sink earlier at work, and forgot to grab his glasses that morning, so he had been going around with less than stellar vision most of the day. Now, as he arrived to his building, after missing his stop on the bus, he put his hand out to catch the door. Only his timing was off and said door slammed on his hand. “Fuck,” he swore, pulling his hand back to him. In doing so, Sam also knocked his own coffee onto himself, and he hissed in pain. “Fucking, shit. Fuck you!” He yelled at his himself, then looked up to see someone standing there. “Today, is not my day, don’t look at me like I just offended your sensibilities.”

Mer jumped up and down and clapped with excitment “Really, thank you. i didn’t want to eat cake all by myself.” she tried to hold herself down “There’s this really amazing place that has this amazing cakes on display and it always smells really good. I really want to go there.”
"Well my dear. Do lead the way too awesome cakes and goodies!" He beamed and gestured for her to take the lead. "I'm an expert on cake so I'll be the judge on how good they are."
