Practice time and issue 4 of #art_here_art_now: "I need tons of pricy art supplies to practice". Professional art supplies are attractive as hell and they usually promise us fantastic results. But when you're not very confident and not sure what to do with your new $100 brush or $200 paint set they can seriously discourage a beginner. It's easy to come to a conclusion like this: "I'm not good enough for these precious instruments, so I’ll just store them until I become a great artist". In fact they are just mediums and they should be used and even wasted at times, so if you're only a beginner try to do your own research on affordable but good supplies. Let's be honest, it's impossible to paint with kids' paint set on the office paper and the investments are inevitable. But make sure to spend wisely: instead of 48 professional colors set opt for 8-10 separate pans or tubes of essential colors. You can find a lot of info about different ways to assemble a perfect set of colors. Do check chinese retailers for brushes: they have decent ones for a good price. Try online auctions for slightly used stuff, sometimes it’s possible find new items with a great discount.
