                           “  hm ?  what’s up bosi --  ”   he doesn’t get to finish his inquiry before he feels the peck on his cheek, his heart along with his words lodging in his throat as a warm red blooms under his skin. how embarrassingly easy it was for him to flush over the little things, a fish out of water when it came to even just the basics of romantic interaction. and not cause he doesn’t try, it’s just an odd sensation to be doted on romantically by his best friend like this.  ( not a bad weird, a very good weird !  but also a  ‘ how could i ever get used to this ’  weird )  though, he supposes it’d be boyfriend now, huh ?  how nerve wracking, something so simple. and yet how exciting it is all the same.

                           “  d - d - dude, y - you can’t just -- !!  ”   rebooting slowly but surely, bob looks to bosip with big eyes, blinking as it registers. how come he gets to do something like that and make bob so flustered, why won’t he do something to bosip too ?  ... actually, why won’t he ?  what’s stopping him ?  do it, don’t think about it, just go for it ... !!

               and so, leaping up on his tip - toes and grabbing bosip by the shirt, bob does the unthinkable  --  he kisses his boyfriend back, squarely on the lips. it’s hasty, he could’ve sworn he was about to miss him completely, but was lucky to feel the taller boy’s lips against his own. he stays there, holding him in the kiss, before slowly he separates... just to be completely red - faced in the face of his impulsive act. should he say something ?  he should, right ?

                           “  ... there. e - equivalent exchange, or whatever it’s called.  ”   maybe he shouldn’t have said anything, actually.  ( really ?  a fullmetal alchemist reference now of all times ?! )

BOSIP.

bosip backed off the second bob snapped at him, shyly smiling as he rubbed the back of his neck, slightly blushing with embarrassment by this point about this entire thing. “ hah – sorry man, i just didn’t know you didn’t know .. i would’ve told you sooner if i knew. “ he chuckled, wondering if amor even told bob that this was a thing beforehand and he just forgot, or if bob had .. no clue that bisexuality could exist. “ i’m not making fun of you – i was just surprised! “ he insists, still smiling. 

in the same way that this opened up doors for bob, this opened up a lot of them for bosip as well. he’d never .. considered that he might have even a chance of bob feeling the same way he did about him – but if he was acting like this was important news, then .. maybe he had taken far too pessimistic of an outlook on the whole thing? it was weird to think about it that way. 

“ uh … “ he thinks about it, “ a long time .. ? “ as long as he had existed, bosip knew that he was bisexual for the most part – just had to find out how to place those feelings ( and promptly never express them! ) and unpack them properly. it looked like bob never got the memo though. “ ahah, thanks bob, i’ll do my best getting either one someday .. “ it felt like a vague phrase, bosip threw it around loosely, he didn’t have that much interest in persuing anyone anyways. . but he did appreciate the support, even if it, ironically, was from the one person he had such strong feelings for. 

           oh, now he’s worked up. his mind a wreck of all trains of thought crashing into one another at once. people can like both, bosip likes both, and bob -  did he purposefully ignore it ?  was he genuinely just too dumb to realize ?  a combination of both ?  neither ? all of the above ??   ( why is his heart racing ? is it from nerves ?  ... yeah, yeah that’s what it is, nothing else. )

           it’s hard, difficult, maybe even impossible, but he tries to be calmer, if for nothing else then at least for bosip. key word, tries.

                        “  f - for that long ?  i mean --  HELL YEAH !!  one day !  maybe !!  can’t wait to see who the lucky person is, cause you deserve it !  man, whoo, i’m --  this was a great conversation dude, i - i’ve learned SO much today !  i should -  hey, h - have you tried the chicken ?  i thought the chicken was great !  s - sooOOOOooooo good !!  ”   ... there is no chicken. aside from bob, obviously.

BOSIP.

he chuckled softly, finding bob’s somewhat offended response with him ruffling his hair. he was used to that by now – but it was just a habit that stuck over their time spent together. it looked like he was at least used to it enough to cool off after a second, and bosip appreciated that that’s where it had ended – after all, he was still explaining something to him. 

he paused for a second, nodding his head. “ yeah, gotcha. “ he had already accepted this bit by now, but he was still curious about it regardless. and – yep there it is, that’s almost what he was expecting. a bewildered expression appeared on is face as he basically confirmed he had .. no idea that was a thing. bosip looked .. completely blown away by the fact that amor or someone in their group had never explained it to him – bosip would’ve never had the confidence to if he hadn’t been outright asked. “ wait – you didn’t know that was a thing? of course it is – you can like both, dude .. “ 

he looked a little bewildered, but the way he framed the question made it obvious it was more in a supportive way than a demeaning one. he understood that sometimes, bob just didn’t get the same concepts that bosip did – plus, it wasn’t really something you talk about all the time, so .. maybe he’d just never had this conversation before. 

               things are finally beginning to make sense now. but boy, maybe he wishes it didn’t  --  after all, this opens a lot of doors he wasn’t sure about wanting opened.  ( not in relation to bosip, bosip’s perfect the way he is, of course  --  but if it isn’t that, then what is it ?  why doesn’t he wanna think about it ? )  it’s as if his mind is about to explode before --

                           “  H - HEY !!  don’t say it like that !  ”   he snaps with an embarrassed flush along his cheeks, missing the endearing tone of his friend almost completely.   “  it’s -  listen, i --  i don’t think about these things, alright ?!  it’s not my fault !!  don’t make fun of me !  ”   could’ve stopped at  ‘ i don’t think ’  to be honest.

                          “  i just -  i --  man, i --  ”   he’s stuttering, trying to reboot what remains of his pathetic little brain, one hand reaching up to pull lightly at his own hair while the other tugs at the fabric of his shirt.   “  how long has this been a thing ?  was this always a thing and i just --  never knew ?!  are you KIDDING me ?  i --  uh -  good for you !  happy for you !  hope you get a nice girlfriend and / or boyfriend some day !!  love is love !!!  ”   man, is it hot in here or is it just him ??

BOSIP.

“ nah, that’s polyamorous, but you’re kinda close! “  bosip knew that bob wasn’t the quickest to get things, but he didn’t really mind that. it didn’t mean that there was anything wrong with him, it just meant that bosip had to put in some extra time to help him get what he was talking about. a hand reached over to ruffle bob’s hair, and he smiled at him clearly happy that he at least kinda got what he meant. “ basically,  yeah! like .. i’d be fine with either a girlfriend or boyfriend, i don’t really care which. “

 he didn’t know what bob’s preference was, but he didn’t really care about whatever it was. he was just happy to explain the whole thing to him. but he couldn’t help but be curious as to what it was now that they talked like this – how many did he even know? he didn’t know, so, he thought he might as well ask. “ what about you? you got any preference? “  

             bob sputters a little as his hair is ruffled, as if about to complain  --  but is silenced if only by bosip continuing to talk.  ( it’s not that he didn’t like bosip’s displays of affection, it was just a bit embarrassing sometimes. wasn’t easy to seem cool if you’re reminded of how short you are. )  nonetheless, he simmers in the conversation, unpacking the pieces as they’re placed before him. what a concept !  he still didn’t know if he got it, but at least bosip’s happy, right ?

                         “  wh -  oh, me ?  ”   oh finally, a subject he actually knows a thing about :  himself.   “  well, i know i like girls !  haven’t thought about it much more than that, honestly. i don’t get why i’d need to when i already...  ”

             ... he’s still lingering... why can’t he seem to let it go ?  girlfriend and boyfriend... girlfriend... or boyfriend... or... ?  did that mean...

                         “  wait, you’re allowed to like BOTH ?!  that’s an actual THING ?  ”

BOSIP.

bosip was much more used to taking things one step at a time rather than unpacking the whole thing at once like this, but when he was asked about this – how do you not unpack this whole thing at once? bob didn’t really .. ask subtle questions, instead now basically .. asking what bisexuality is. he didn’t mind explaining the whole thing to him, after all, he explained a lot of things to bob, this was hardly any different.  “ bisexual .. like, somewhere between gay and straight – you like both equally. “ he clarified, able to tell that bob was confused by the entire thing. “ oh – yeah, i mean .. romantically. you can like both, it’s not just one way or the other, bob. “

he didn’t think about it much, because honestly, bosip didn’t see himself getting into a relationship or anything anytime soon. he was … kind of content just crushing on bob and spending time with him, even if bob didn’t reciprocate the feelings in the slightest, he was happy! that’s all that really mattered, as far as he was concerned. “ does that make .. any sense? “

              did it make sense ?  ... uh... to be honest, it was hard to completely register in his mind.  ugh, information was a bitch to sift through, like a yarn ball you’d need to reach the center of. it didn’t help this was a subject he was very much not used to thinking about. but bosip was trying to explain it... the least he could do is try to understand. 

                             “  so... it’s like you wanna date multiple people ?  or, no wait, it’s... uh...  ”   bear with him, he’s getting there. he’s trying so hard to get the few braincells he has to work together.   “  ... it’s liking both ?  like, being into both ??  right ?  ”

“ Orale…. “ He says quietly. At first, he was thinking ‘ who the hell was yelling at him? At this time of day? ‘ and it wasn’t till he turn around that he recognized Bob. Why WAS he back here and why was Jesus being blamed for it?

“ Hey man. I’m just as confused as seeing you here. I was just fuckin’ vibing till you started screaming. “ It’s true! He was actually going to meet GF here till Bob suddenly showed up so now he has to deal with this before she got here.  “ ‘sides, if I really wanted to go another round, I’m sure I could have gotten in touch with that one dude that brought you here in the first place SOMEHOW. “ He remembers Amor, somewhat vaguely, it was a weird experience for sure but Jesus just added that to the ongoing list of craziest encounters he’s ever experienced so he didn’t take it entirely serious.

“ Anywaaaays, wasn’t there another dude with you? Taller, kinda handsome? “

                           “  psh, likely story, fuckbag !  ”   he retorts without much thought. there was no reason for him to trust jesus in his eyes  ( and definitely not cause his ego’s still bruised after his devastating loss ) ,  since as far as he knew, jesus very much could’ve asked amor to bring him back here, and it just took... longer than usual, or something. he doesn’t know. with his best attempt at a cold gaze  --  which, really was more just a squint of the eyes and a pout  --  he rests a hand on his hip with an impatient tap - tap - tap of his shoe.

           then there’s the mention of his friend  ( who else could it be ?  he was tall and handsome, factually speaking )  and bob shifts in place as if gaining a faux ?  sense of confidence.

                           “  bosip ?  well, in theory he should still be at home !  so that means... no one’s here to stop me from kicking your ass !!  are you ready ?  round two baby, but with hand to hand combat this time !  ”

BOSIP​.

“ what – ? oh .. uh, “ he paused, not sure how to continue from this point onward. bob had never .. asked, ( cared ?) about these kinds of things, and bosip was fine with that, didn’t really question those kinds of things. after all, they were just friends, just chilling and having fun, so it didn’t really matter in the long run, did it? “ i mean, i like both .. i don’t really have a preference with it. “ he tucked his hands into his pockets and smiled softly, hoping bob understood that much. “ i’m bisexual i think, but i’m still figurin’ the whole thing out. “ a vague shrug followed it, and he thought it would simply be left at that. 

             it’s true, bob’s never cared much about the subject. after all, he’s never cared to think about his own situation for longer than, say, two seconds at most.  ( it was all so confusing, anyways. why’d he need to wonder if he already knew he likes girls ?  that means he’s straight, isn’t that enough ? )  ... but something about the insistance piqued his interest. or... something. he doesn’t really get why he’s suddently so interested, actually.

                                 “  uh --  b - bi hwuh ?  ”   he blinks. has he heard that word before ?   “  bi what - now ?  like... bicycles ?  the hell do bicycles have to do with liking... ooohhh wait, both ?  dude, i don’t mean just casual liking, like thinking your homie’s cool and likeable and you’d share a bike with him. i mean like, uhh... like liking. sharing a bike but like... in a romantic way.  ”

               oh no, why is he here again ?!  bob takes in the familiar surroundings of the street  ( the same trees, the same path, the same stupid stop sign ) , a bubbling angry shame refusing to settle in his stomach. amor wasn’t behind it this time, he knew this, the guy was asleep  --  so then how on earth did he end up here again ?  there’s even the same weird  ‘ boyfriend ’  dude who beat him up last time !!

                             “  HEY, you !  dwarf dude !  boyfriend, or whatever !!  ”   bob points to the rapper as he yells with little regard for anyone else that may or may not be visiting the park.   “  did you do this ?  am i here because of YOU ?!  wasn’t first time enough ?!  ”   he didn’t even have bosip here, what’s the god damn point ?
